how can you be surprised that most of the time it does not work out? it is a slot machine.
Sometimes it is right next to to slot where the money or ticket goes in. If you’re not looking, you can easily hit max bet as you load the machine with money.
I won $12,069 on coin combo carnival cow on 88 cents, and after I'd been playing larger and max bets. 😁 It's more fun for me to mix it up, and I'm able to play longer, usually, as well.
I accidentally max bet on a Wolf Run machine (40 line, $1 per line) at The Mirage about a decade ago and hit for $5600. That was just pure luck and haven't done it since.🍀🤣
this is a great tip. Cant remember the game, but you can only hit the mini and minor on the one very common bonus if you arent playing one of the top two bet amounts for the denom you are playing. Granted you seem to get the mini 80% of the time anyway, but giving up the Major and the Grand seems like a bad idea yet I see people playing it on the lowest two bet amounts all the time. Everyone should be reading the rules to at least understand if there is a bet requirement to hit the top payout, or like on some, if the jackpots are a lower amount if you arent playing max.
On classic reels @ $5 denom I only bet 1 coin 90% of the time. A month ago I hit $4800 and was scratching my head. I had hit the max bet (3 coins) by mistake.Made an extra $3200 ! This was on a Double Diamond. Thanks guys.
great tip as always. it happened to me twice on an ainsworth game called (something like) quad wins. i'm used to the spin button all the way to the right, but that's the max bet on these games. three spins in and my cash was gone! yes, it's on me to check that...i'm just agreeing with this topic today. excellent job again marc and dave!
I use to play at a bank of Money Rain Deluxe machine and you need to be playing max bet to be eligible for the progressive if you get the wheel spin bonus. Whenever I hit any of the progressives on the wheel it seems there's always someone that says it never pays the full progressive amount like it did for me. I always ask "do you max bet"? The answer is always "no".
That max bet blocker is genius. What I find most dangerous is the newer machines where the bet amounts sit flush on the panel. It is so easy to bump the max with your wrist. Know what I mean jelly bean?
Sometimes on Class 3s they like to put the player's card slot in a position where your cord will hang over the max bet button and then when you go to swipe the cord out of the way....bam! You just max bet. Bye, money! And those video panels can be sooooo sensitive!

The higher the bet the more you loose. More often than not you loose playing slots. Simple logic. Play with what you can afford to loose because that is inevitable.
What I need explained is how anyone can afford to lose anything. Please explain that, if you can.

@@DrSchor oh you WILL win but sometimes. Tbh the worse thing to happen is to win and win big, especially the very first time you play. You will be chasing that high for ever until you realise what a mug you are.
You will win, but it is an illusion, because next time you give it all back and then some.
I have won £20,000 in one week from an initial £300 deposit.
Can you guess what happened to that £20,000??

Another example of this is Blazing 7s. I have seen people playing one coin and get three sevens and they wait for the credits to start adding up but nothing happens. They sit there in shock.

Those are referred to as "buy a pay" games.

I'm so happy that you guys made this video. I have definitely noticed on my trips to the casino is that there are quite a number of slot machines that do require you to bet max but there are also slot machines that don't require to bet max like Aristocrat Fu Dai Lian Lian Boost, IGT's Scarab, etc. Another very important thing to note is that the games that don't require max betting are the ones that are a lot easier to understand because it's very straightforward on the bet panels. 🙂👍
Bingo games can be straight multipliers across bet levels, or they can also completely different patterns, ball limits, and pays for each bet and level. It will make no difference to the player. The games are designed to play like any other version with the same name. You may have slightly lower RTP at min bet. You may also see cases where you "would have won" much more for max bet. I played an AGS game (weird bingo; you get 28 balls and win whatever pattern you match first) and won $60 on a 3 quarter bet. The max bet of 9 quarters would have been the lowest progressive, I believe. Not that I would have pulled the same balls if I pushed a different button.
I was playing a machine and hit the top payout, but it only paid on max bet. I was devastated. Moral of the story. Always look at the pay tables. 😭
Something like that happened to me. I was feeding more money into it and did a lower bet, and of course the jackpot came up. I won 10 instead of 10500
those were phony teases to get you to spend more next time.

I once got a bonus on a $1 denomination wheel of fortune game but was not playing max bet. It didn’t allow me to spin the wheel but it did pay me $20 on my $1 bet. So you will still get paid for a bonus but it will be less. I would have liked to have spun the wheel just for the potential to win more than that. My favorite games to play are lightning and dragon link. I generally minimum bet those on higher denomination ($2.50 bet on 10 cent). That’s generally the most I ever bet. I like the higher amounts for mini and minor on 10 cent as opposed to playing a similar bet on pennies and those jackpots being much smaller.
Not all WOF will pay you for the Spin symbol, so be careful out there. :)

As a patron of a class 2 predominantly filled Casino in Washington state, I've been successful a little more than I guess. Normal playing the dollar storm lightning link. My question is how do the bonus and progressives trigger in relevance to it being a class 2 game?. I hope my question is understood.TIA

Manufacturers go to great lengths to make sure their games they produce in both class 2 and class 3 behave and "feel" the same. So, I wouldn't modify how you play lightning link just because it's class 2.

Do you have a video that goes more in-depth and technical? For example, when reading the rules and it tells you things like denom doesn't matter and/or wager doesn't matter but multiplier does(like Eureka Blast). With some screen shots of machines to show where they like to hide that information.

I have been one to lose betting max but I’ve also regretted not betting max when I’ve hit big on the first coin that could have tripled.

Yes always max bet. buddy last week sent me a video of $100 WOF and lady hit it for $40,000. go big or go home. The whole point of slot machines is to chance the jackpots or hit and run. sometimes it is good to start off with lower bets and increase over spins. my dad usually does that after a big win after winning on a max bet.

Multi-Denom Lock it Link games question. Is there a benefit to max bet 250 credits at 10 cent denom ($25 bet) or min bet say at 50 cent denom for 50 credits that is also a $25 bet? Also, why is the mininum credit bet button at higher denom red while the other credit options are blue? Makes me think that the mininum credit bet is a bad bet to make.
For lock it link games, your odds of hitting the MAJOR or GRAND are increased the HIGHER your overall bet amount. Still, stay within your comfort level as it's still very, very difficult to get those progressives.

What has always worked for me. Is to bet the minimum bet on the max denom. On a 1 cent bet the minimum is 50 cents so I change it to 10 cents and bet $5 instead of max bet of $5 on 1 cent. My idea is you get the bonus a lot more on the small bets. I may be wrong but it’s always worked for me

I noticed that playing minimum bets doesn’t give you the same kind of symbols as when you increase your bet. You tend to get more of the desired symbols in higher bets, not necessarily winning, but more teaser results.
Is this a programming ploy to get players to bet more? Probably.
of course. even though it is not an actual win, a close win registers in your brain as a win, so you keep going.
do you think that is sneaky? A great deal of money and research has been put into the psychology of gambling. For example the "hand pay'. Since there is a ceremony involved in giving you a hand pay, it feels like more of an accomplishment than it is.
And nefariously, it gives you something to shoot for besides an "ordinary win". Many players stay at the machine, pumping in money, to earn a "hand win". Keeps em there longer.
Does each betting denomination on a machine have its own random number generator? Or is it one number generator for the whole machine?
One RNG for the whole machine. However, each denomination can have a separate payback % setting. We have a video coming out this week that goes into detail about this.
My personal experience on slot machine is play smart not play hard.
Bet high only when the progress jacket pot is VERY near its limit. If there are a lots players especially when there are many on high bets then not worth to bet high.
Only with must-hit or must-win by progressives.

Yeah, plating the Chinese bowl til it closes only guarantees a “mini” 95% of the time. Not necessarily worth it after all the money you put into the machine.

It’s illegal for them to not pay you out from blackjack. Slots on the other hand they can’t hit you with the machine malfunction 😂
I have never heard of that happening with slots. With Blackjack it usually happens when the casino believes the player(s) are counting cards.

What i dislike is how some games say credit rather than the actual amount. Example 50 credits. Okay you think it's 50 cents a spin wrong it's 5 dollars.
I know to check your denomination as well but why not just put it plain for you to read.

Thanks for the info. I bet minimum to get bonus. Don't want hand pays, so 68¢ is good enough on Dancing Drums for me. I'm a stinker sometimes, betting 2 credits on Blazing 7s and get the 500 credits. I think it builds the jackpot way up there, but probably not. I just love to play as long as I can.
