Dev just need add someone to his dad, I am not even a boxing expert and knew you don’t stand infront of Ryan and try parry his lead jab. He is too fast and powerful, a feint could easily set up the left hook. Dev has to use his feet and jab. He only got in trouble when he stood there I guess he wanted to knock him out which tells me Ryan got in his head so it took him away from the game plan, funny Floyd did the same against Mosley and nearly lost him the fight but he adjusted straight away.

@@johnny9092 all those adjustments sounds kool but everyone has a plan until they get hit in the mouth. What happens if ryan catches haney again? Psychologically i think Haney would break under the same circumstance second time around and would just go back into survival mode and what happens if this time the ref isn’t so pleasing and warns Haney for holding too much? Gets points taken away for holding then can’t hold while on unstable legs. More vulnerable for a ko.

I must concede that I heard Bill Haney tell him more than once to roll under the left hook. However the emphasis on that didn't seem to be there. And Devin Haney did get under it a couple times but Ryan Garcia stuck with it and eventually caught him again and Devin started doing the stanky-leg

You want proof Derrick James had nothing to do with Ryans win. Ryan was doing the same "Shoulder Roll" he did in the Oscar Duarte fight that James said publicly he didnt teach Ryan. Plus Ryan had no conditioning in that fight which led to Ryan giving up rounds & fighting sometimes less than 1 minute per round

This shows how Ryan’s corner led by Derrick James batted Devin to come to the center which made him susceptible to the left hook.
Devin left Floyd Sr cause sr wasn't able to tell him what to do, This is when Bill took over but his problem is lack of knowledge!! I said during the fight Bill Don't know what to tell Devin cause he was shocked also when Dev went down
When the fighter is more experienced in ring than the trainer, it’s a problem waiting to happen. Bill has to look in the mirror bc pride is the devil. Do whatever it takes to get the Haney team back on top, even if it means his role is minimal on fight night.

That was a dog fight when he fought Errol, Shawn did it pretty good to Errol. We never saw Errols face like that before after the fight in the post fight press conference.
Errol never had a face like he was in a fight in his earlier fights.
I actually thought shawn edged errol even with the knock down. Errol’s head was getting snapped multiple times almost every round. Shawn made adjustments while I didn’t see errol make any. Shawn started faking the 1-2 later on and would jab, duck and throw over hand left and would land cleanly on errol multiple times. And everytime errol put shawn on the ropes, shawn would spin around him and put errol against the ropes. Errol had to fight dirty and put his forearm on the back of shawn’s head to hold him down so he can T off on shawn’s head.

Before the fight everyone was saying its not on Derrixk James if Ryan loses but now that he won ya wanna give James credit lol hmm wonder why.
Truth is Ryan won that fight on his own he didn't do what James told him to do.
He did a lil bit of both. Derrick James told him use his jab to set up the left hook
DJ prepared him better for the fight. The entire fight was rehearsed in training by DJ. DJ said he had to get Devin out his special skill sets and fight Ryan’s fight. Devin followed Ryan the ring the whole night. Also the pacing of the fight came from Derrick James. Keeping him calm and staying in the fight plan. Because Dev didn’t adjust DJ didn’t have to do much but stick the fight plan they already worked on in preparation for the fight. Dev got out coached!
