Because let's be real, the way Harley had been depicted in Birds of Prey was just awful compared to her work in the suicide squad. We are first introduced to Margott Robie's Harley Quinn in suicide squad where she is all kinds of crazy, but she is also smart, she analyzes people, has a mind of her own, and is downright dangerous and fearless. However when we see her again in Birds of Prey, all of a sudden, without Joker around she is nothing, she's not dangerous, she's just some annoying girl who pissed people off. She's also depicted as dumb in the show, making poor decisions, didn't know how to spell "Mercenary", wasn't really analyzing people the way she did in the suicide squad (Y'a know, cause she's a psychologist), and whatnot. Even in the new Suicide Squad, she is the same person she was in the first Suicide Squad film, which is made more apparent by her (YALL THERE'S SOME FUCKING SPOILERS SHIT ABOUT TO HAPPEN SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK) breaking herself out of the Corto Maltese stronghold, she was all kinds of dangerous and didn't need nobody to save her. You could argue the complete difference in her character in Birds of Prey was because of her heartbreak, but even if that's the case (I think it's just poor writing), we should get a Harley Quinn movie where she's at her strongest like she was in the Suicide Squads, because she was badass and my favorite character, absolutely stole the show. She even didn't go to looking for him but joker was alive and again he came to save her from the jail so I think joker loves Harley more.
