He's absolutely 100% correct about the officiating and I'm not a Wolves fan. It's not been anywhere near acceptable.
I was one who had doubts about Gary O'Neal but he has shown we were all wrong.
It's not only the players that are now proud to put on the shirt, but he has proved again and again that he cares about Wolves and not had that since Nuno.
Well done !
Liverpool fan, it wasnt a sending off and Gary is right VAR shouldn't involve themselves. Should be goal line and offside only.
Watch the Jones red card and spurs and tell me otherwise
I dont think the officials are bad they are corrupt.
I liked Gary’s comments about recruitment towards the end of the press conference. Wolves fans only want committed players at the club. A lot of work has to happen quickly to straighten out this club. We made a deeper squad of quality players with experience at this level. As for our youngsters that were exposed this season to first team football because of our injury list, I don’t think I see obvious players that can step up next season. Fosun is guilty of not putting their money where their mouth is , the problem being they really don’t have any money!!! We simply cannot sell players like Neto, Cunha and Gomes - we need to add players of their quality.
Official and var has to go they robbed wolves the whole season
Brilliant press conference. Eell said on everything
Liverpool fan here and Gary is spot on. Yellow not red.
Bollocks it was a red all day.
Like the Curtis Jones red vs Spurs ?
VAR was supposed to be for 'clear & obvious" mistakes. Yet VAR seems to get involved in everything, with it, taking the enjoyment out of football. Great season considering the circumstances Gary. COYW
Congratulations Gary. Thanks for this season and believing when all doubted to keep Wolves in the Premier.
Ankle breaker all the way... Red !
It wasnt a red, but the refs had set a precedent at the start of the season for a similar but less dangerous play by sending off Curtis Jones. There would be uproar had he not sent him off as well.
Wolves fan here, it was a blatant red imo. Semedo bottled the 50/50 and turned to make sure he didn't get hurt. We have been done over by VAR previously but fair enogh this time.
Yet when Forest have a pop they get carra and neville giving it billy big balls and EPL dishing out fines. Selective punishments is a big issue that fuels frustration. Irrespective of your team, 100% bang on that officiating is not good enough even without VAR
Gary is an intelligent coach. Wolves should do well next season if referees get their act together.
Every team has been dealt shit this year. How many have gone your way or don't we include them.
What decision went wolves way that shouldn’t have
Oneal as done a great job by keeping we in the premier league that was the main thing was to stop in the premier league and having a small squad the players burned them self out and all the injuries he got a pre season this season roll on next season always wolves til I die
I agree Wolves have suffered more than any team with VAR this season but this wasn't an Antony Gordon dive type incident, their players were reckless yesterday. The challenge was horrible, so much so Semedo actually apologised to Mac Allister as he walked down the tunnel, there was another bad foul on Harvey Elliott not long afterwards. But all means speak out against VAR but at least own up to the ones that were right.
Sorry but I watched that Semedo foul. It was a yellow card but VAR is now like the secret police stepping in to find something more sinister and thereby taking away from the referee’s authority on the pitch. It’s unacceptable plain and simple. The Referees , VAR and the rules, especially their application is out of control and in serious trouble. The quality of officiating is lousy and it’s no accident that standards have slipped since VAR was introduced.
Can even except od bad refs decisions but var anyone with brain on football nows what right decision should be should not be doing job unless now the game still can’t forget luiz diaz goal at start season legit goal then loads that follows
Do not ruin klopps final game
The officiating is at an all time low!
Agreed garry you done well this season var total corruption has to go but man city rule one rule for one another for some teams
New teef for Gary? 😁
I like Gary but it’s a terrible tackle and a clear red card.
Is he really saying it wasn't a red? Perhaps blame his player rather than var. Got to defend his own team and player but sometimes you have to not let previous decisions affect the present day.
Makes me laugh wen lfc cant win nothing give us decisions and no wolves had it tuff aswell think we can agree both r clubs suffered because corruption wolves can remember least 5 bad decisions against use
I'm Liverpool & he's right its been a disgrace. Wolves have been fucked over a lot, Liverpool have been cost against Chelsea, Man utd, Arsenal, City, Spurs so spread that over 18 teams (not city)
City got robbed the most, Liverpool was robbed the least but robbed everyone else.
I hear that. City are the only ones I never see being screwed by officiating. They got away with a whole lot this season.
@@ifl1476 you are kidding, right ?
@@hollowman1836 No I am not. Liverpo been robbing peope left and right.
Most football I heard said it was a clear red card.
MotD and Sky will always prostitute themselves for the FA.
O’Neil admitted in an interview following his departure that he had deliberately picked up a 10th booking of the season, during a 4-1 Premier League defeat at Bolton in April 2009, to ensure he was suspended for two games and could therefore watch the US Masters golf on television as his team-mates fought a survival battle.
This guy never stops talking about the bad officiating. He needs to realize that we’ve all been bent over by VAR this season, not just his team
I agree with you , but to be honest that’s all the reporters keep asking and talking about, they just keep stirring the crap🐺
You might wanna check the scale of the "bending over” Wolves have had in comparsion to the other PL clubs, as evidenced by Dale Johnson at ESPN. Over a 5 years time period Wolves have lost -17 points, next worst was Arsenal with -7….. As a Wolves fan I think that assessment is incredibly light, I stopped counting at what I thought was potentially 12 points this season alone.
It's was 100% Definately a red..... Sorry
No harm his player deserved that red card fact
Totally agree because if a Liverpool player did the same just 30mins into the match VAR would of got involved and sent their player off in Klopps last game at anfield. No double standards at all.
VAR is not fit for purpose but it was a clear red card.
In real time it doesn’t look like a penalty, but when slowed down yes, but that is the trouble, it’s too forensically analysed, and different refs interpreted decisions differently.
Thats a f ing nonsense it was a bad challenge, studs up, nowhere near the ball if he cannot take his lumps on that I not sure he has a leg to atand on wheb debating whats is fair and not. Perhaps you gmcoukd say I have seen them not given of yellow card but equally reckless...it does not matter if he was just fractionly late ...clear dangerous play
I find it amazing that someone is proud of Wolves finishing 14th in the Premier League.
I am not so impressed.
Given Villa 5 seasons ago were a championship side and now going into Champions League, how on earth does this football club believe this seasons level is acceptable.
It is fair point and I agree that Villa have had a great season, but your playing budget is twice ours, and our manager came in with 2 days notice, and we have suffered, I know all teams do, with big injuries to big players, and our squad does not currently have the depth to cover that. 1. Manchester United - £205,756,000
2. Manchester City - £200,668,000
3. Arsenal - £166,036,000
4. Chelsea - £155,324,000
5. Liverpool - £136,240,000
7. Tottenham - £117,520,000
6. Aston Villa - £117,000,000
8. West Ham United - £95,316,000
9. Newcastle United - £84,500,000
10. Everton - £78,978,000
11. Nottingham Forest - £72,050,000
12. Crystal Palace - £69,050,000
13. Fulham - £64,610,000
14. Brighton - £62,400,000
15. Wolves - £53,820,000
16. Bournemouth - £53,794,000
17. Brentford - £39,936,000
18. Burnley - £38,506,000
19. Sheffield United - £28,756,800
20. Luton Town - £24,570,000
Crazy to think wolves were close to ffp with only 53 mill worth of squad .... just goes to show you how unfare the system is .
Yes you are moaning
You're obviously not a Wolves fan
He’s entitled to have a moan.
Would Liverpool moan o yesssss
Sometimes moaning is justified. VAR is a disgrace. Scrap it.
