V8 Mitsubishi Pajero Evo gets a Whipple supercharger. Chevy LT power Part 8
Вставка

- A little update from Craig on his Mitsubishi LT Pajero Evo project. He's finally got the supercharger he always wanted. He gets the manifold straight on the miller to drill it out for port injection to run alongside the LT engines direct injection.

Craig: engineers a dual fuel injection system
Also Craig: batters the backbox to clear the prop
👍😆
The custom stuff Craig does to make stuff work blows my mind.. I swear he's one good day away from building an iron man suit 🤣🤣
😄
The things he knows and explains are all so interesting to watch and hear, i could watch him explain away his builds for hours ahah
Surely driftworks should do some collaboration dynoyorque merch!
So much appreciation for Craig talking the time and effort to film that machining! Makes a big difference to see him working and hear his thinking
👍
How does Craig get all this work done and run a business ?? He must live at the Workshop or something! And awesome work Craig as always!!
Judging from there videos he does his day then works personal projects in the evening?
- how did a viper bite chuck norris, then 2 days later the viper died 😜
@@Gofast1234 2020 is just a typical bad Monday for Chuck Norris
I always think the same!
Love watching Craig's builds (as well as DW's . . . obvs) so knowledgable n no BS!!!!
🤘
Craig n jay brilliant I love the banter excellent knowledge and info is top class every project is addictive inspirational and inspiring keep up the hard work guys stay safe n thanks a lot it’s so appreciated .
Jay and Craig are like mad scientists because when they went on about the ECUs Craig would put in I was in awe of the knowledge
Craig is one clever bloke.
Love the vids guys 👍
👍
Love this, not just another UA-cam video of someone going I’ve bought this and it’s in, actually showing the instillation and mod of stuff to fit them as well as why and how it works
👍
I want a Dyno torque t-shirt and hoodie
I was thinking the same! I buy a DW Tee and a Dyno Torque Tee! Love these guys. Jay just needs to bring out his own line!
Same.
Can’t wait to see Craig’s cars all lined up next to each other!
👍
Proper enjoyed this one gents. Nice to see the work on the mill.
Thanks 👍
I'm glad we can watch craig and the lads from drift works do cool shit and builder monsters because I was getting bored off all the american stuff you see all the times you can relate to the cars they have and work on
Cheers 👍
Damn this 8 speed auto. Must be perfect for daily.
So many mental projects I can't keep up 😂. Just keen to see the V10 M3 be completed and tracked
Brilliant, Craig. Love seeing someone at the top of their game. Cheers
I want to know more about the yellow 242 in the back 😍
As ever, very interesting to watch. This garage workshop style of research & development / modification reminds me of Al & Woody from “The Skid Factory” 👍
👍 Cheers
Well Craig, I can see the cogs turning in your head working out how the ECU’s are going to control the two injection systems. I’m glad you know the electronic side of things as one day I’ll no doubt be at your mercy when I try similar with two turbos and a ‘charger. Totally inspirational, you’re both doing a fantastic job.
The look on Craig's face when his "bodge" comments come home to roost 😂
Can't wait for the next installment, cracking build 👍
😄👍
Best project I’ve seen for years
Can't go wrong with a whipple supercharger. The build is looking great.
Excellent nerdy episode Craig, loved it.
👍
great video and great progress that bet is looking safe. great build!
Thanks 👍
Brilliant! Would love to be able to afford to give Craig a wad of cash and say put a silly LS into a e60 5 series touring
Another great video gents... Love the in depth content. Keep up the good work. Uncle Craig is becoming a natural in front of the camera. Id like to see some more street hooning around the estate 😁
If something "bolt on" actually just bolts on it should be considered a minor miracle 🤣
Always amazes me, such an interesting chap, attention to detail is spot on
👍
Bring on the dyno torque merch! 🙌
Wow the yellow 240 in the background 👀
Just have a LS3 dropped in 😁😁
I’d like to see the mad max blower out the bonnet on this haha
Such a great quality build!
Awesome to watch
Thanks for uploading!
Me too! Either way - love the build.
Fuel wails and bwackets, can't get much better.....vewy neat, thanks.
Can I get some chassis with that engine!?? 😂 It’s hugeeeeee!!! That’s gunna be a beast!
Love watching Craig and is super knowledge!
awesome build
Would love to see a video on what other jobs he has going thru, like the yellow volvo.
Gunna be another epic build.
Oohhh I like that Volvo in the background!
Awesome work Mr T.
so much knowledge
Another superb video from the best channel on YT, what’s the deal with the Volvo 242 in the background? Absolutely love them cars
In for a LS3 swap
Can we have the final video of the Aston build? Some driving and sweet sweet noises.
I spoke to Craig about that last week. He needs to reinforce something in the rear axle before he can complete the car / map it, but he's going to try to fit the work in when he can.
I hate to think how much Craig has shelled out on postage and packaging.
I wish Craig had his own UA-cam channel. I'm sure Craig Jr. could learn to edit vids.
Craigs must be making some serious cash to fund these projects!
Projects are cheaper when you can do everything yourself and all the parts and consumables are business expenses. 😂
@@daveowen378 wether you put it through the business or fit it yourself, That whipple kit is still around 10k on its own. Plus another easy 10k for the engine, plus another 8-10k for the pajero to begin with. Loose 40k plus easy on this when you start adding paint, ecus, wheels, all the materials etc. Serious project
I wonder if it would make sense to use two different blends of fuel with two different sets of injectors? wouldnt be like methanol injection when used with those port injection injectors? it might actually reduce heatsoak in the intake plenum too.
I have looked at split tank / system but not sure it needs it . The cooler in the charger unit is massive , so should be all good I hope
@@craigtaylor5075 can't wait to see it finished!
Cool wHip
Love this build 👍
Just make a MadMax blower Pajero man.
Do it!!!
Great vid chaps , crackle map 🤣👌🔨
Thanks 👍
Will the secondary injectors also aid in lowering air temp? Sounds like a win-win.
Think you are missing out on the Dyno torq mercy 👍
DW and Dyno Collab to fund jays Clio on the track!!!
Does the yellow 242 in the background have an LS in it? Perhaps did it even recently come from oregon?
It does and did I beleive.
I want to see more of that Volvo!🙂
Random question for Craig, I need to my toyota alu knuckles (crown grs18*) cutting and shortening by 50mm, would you plate it after or not? Seen arguments on both sides from people who don't weld.
Adding some bracing is a good idea
@@craigtaylor5075 is this a service you can do? I am local enough to the shop to drop them off.
hope it lasts. been a HUGE amount of issues with Whipples in the US . bearing failures like right out the box. look into a add on part called the SmoothBoost . heard a lot of good things about it . it uses vac pressure to modify how boost comes on with throttle differences so it doesn't just hop right into boost makes tuning a lot more consistent also .
Interesting. I'll mention it to Craig. Cheers.
I hope it’s ok , i we I’ll look up smoothboost 👍
@@craigtaylor5075 their site is difficult to navigate for some . here's a link , youd be best off speaking with them to find the most appropriate kit. another thing, is the whipple catch can if provided, sucks, do yourself a favor and make, or buy a better one . and the IAT sensor usually makes use of a rubber bushing and oem ( GM style ) plastic , sensor , id tap and toss on an AEM threaded sensor , seen them lose seal , and or break off sensor tips , get sucked into the unit under higher boost levels... not a good look . . let me know if you ever need any help or parts or tuners to speak with here in the US . . www.smoothboost.com/c-11-smoothboost-products.aspx
@@twistymcslide2 hi is it a electronic boost controller ? I presume it controls the by pass valve for smoother boost control ? , I’ve e not got a plan for tuning yet on the E92 , HP tuners is they only way I believe ?
@@craigtaylor5075 HP is great . fast , and lots of options in their programs . im sure there are other tuners available , but yes , HP is the way id go . and i misspoke, i said it was vac controlled, i meant electronic controlled, but has boost reference . Introducing the first and only retro-fit electronic bypass valve. Made right here in the USA, this new control kit removes the old vacuum controlled Bypass valve and gives you a precision electronically controlled valve to smooth out your torque curve so that it drives powerfully and predictable. That's not even the best part... With the turn of the SmoothBoost dial you can even set the level of boost you would like.
Say your car has a pulley making 15 psi but your engine can not handle that much boost without race gas and you want to be able to run pump gas without changing the pulley and tune. Easy, just turn the variable boost control dial down to the desired level of Boost. Then when you are ready for the higher HP simply turn the dial to MAX or use the configured input on a switch to have 2 preset boost levels and enjoy the full capability of your supercharger.
Hello Craig, if this reaches you it may be worth looking into oval tubing to get the exhaust out the back if you haven't gone with side pipes already.
Great work - how’s Starky’s coming on 🤣
Things are happening... Slowely.
How is Starkey doing with his S15 Should do a little update on his if it’s made any.But can’t wait to see this thing progress further the quality of the build already looks crazy Craig does some really nice work
Same thoughts 💭
Is tht a yellow 340 i see there? I miss my lolvo
It's a 242 apparently. (according to comments here)
If I lived near that estate, I'd probably end up barred from Craig's. For dropping in incessantly
Great build. How does Craig make it look so easy?
👍
Crazy
I am sorry
I know pajero has a built-in ladder frame
And
Yes
I actually experience the advantage of this kind of build in ladder frame
But
What's different with body on frame and built in ladder frame
LS in the Volvo?
I believe so yes 👍
Is that Volvo getting an LS??
I think it has one already & is getting a different one.
I didn’t know Jonathan Woss was a machinist and could use a mill 😂
Guys, did you ever heard about car dealerships? Where you can buy complete cars ready to drive? No need to assemble them yourselves at home!
How on earth does this channel not get more views? Need to do a collaboration with a bigger channel to draw the viewers in. Get the AE86 over to the US for some events to raise the profile (the Freedom Factory is calling!)
I've thought about shipping the 86 to one of Cleetus's events.
That’s the bollocks. 👍
👍
No way a LS will fit in that Clio 😂
Cut the rear out of it!! There was a Clio V6 so a couple extra cylinders should be fine!
what engine
Chevy LT
Fed ex.. you mean fed up
WE NEED M3 S85 CONTENT !
Should have a little update out tomorrow.
want a drop of parafin when machining ally
I have some cutting fluid but find the gt85 works well on alloy , ( I’m no expert but seems to work )
Was that charger $5k? :O
No idea, but I know a Maguson I was looking some years ago was about $10k
Brand new back box. There had to be a better way to get clearance that bash the shit out of it.
Sometimes it's the best way.
Well it’s not new now 🤣🤣
I look up to craig
How tall are you?
Noice
Has anyone drawn your attention to the fact that 'Pajero' is wanker in Spanish??
I think we're at 47 people now.
