Hey me too, glad the game delivered! And definitely second that as well, from what I'm seeing looks like the game is still going to be a little while out after all so maybe they hold us over with starting to show more Dev videos and character reveals from here on out.
A Wild Kenny and Esfand appear! It's so fun seeing various creators especially non-FGC ones like Esfand come together to appreciate the genre. He seemed like had a blast in Vegas.
Man it was so wild, two legends for sure! Im beyond pumped to see how many big-name creators have been dipping their toes into the FGC, I think we are truly about to hit a golden age for the genre over the next few years.
I'm a fan of a lot of genres and something I didn't expect is that creators like BarbarousKing from Mario Maker, Sneaky and Dyrus from LoL, and Mew2King from Smash are all still playing SF6 on stream from time to time. I figured they would've lost interest by now but they're enjoying themselves. That says a lot about SF6 but also the growth of the genre, and we're really early into this new age of fighters.
Thank you boss, that means a lot! Truly. I'm so thrilled for the game at this point it's almost hard to imagine what it's going to be like when it does finally drop.... But I'm definitely going to be here for it when it does! lol
Thanks man!! Of course I've been ultra-hyped myself for the game, but getting the confirmation first hand that it is really good has put it on a whole new level ...... it's gonna be a long wait, but man will it be worth it.

I'm really thrilled to see how Sett and Mordekaiser would play if Yasuo of all character became a stance character, if anything i don't want it to be as fast as Marvel vs Capcom because Marvel is Overwhelmingly fast even for players like me who likes fast paced games, game sounds fun so far and Great content as always man, Keep it up👍 Now i just need to see the new Fatal Fury gameplay lol.
Absolutely man! After seeing how well executed the champs were not only paying homage to LoL but also expanded to being dope fighting game characters I really cant wait to see who else is gonna get the treatment... I think my tops are Sett Samira Thresh RN. And thanks as always brother, WE GOT CITY OF WOLVES HOPEFULLY WE GET THAT SWEET GAMEPLAY SOON!
There is some out in the wild somewhere!! I played with a friend who is a Pro, and he got us on a media setup. He has the footage, I'm hoping to get it from him soon!
let's go!!! you're the reason why I knew this game was in development in the first place. I'm so happy you did play project L early. Now I'll go back to huff copium and hope those who weren't at EVO will have a chance to play the game soon. Like, in a year soon.
Oh foreal!? That's sweet, im glad to get the info out then! I kinda wonder if they will do more location tests like this even... maybe even at other smaller tournaments would be pretty cool. But otherwise yea I think your right, might be a while for full online beta I hate to say. The wait will be worth it though, I know that now! haha
I'd love to have that opportunity too, not just to play but also to someday go to EVO. Unfortunately, I live in Brazil and getting a visa is kinda pricey and complicated, but that won't stop it from happening someday!! Great video, and it's awesome to know about your experience.
I feel yea man, sorry to hear that! I don't know if you heard but they kind of soft announced a third EVO will start sometime soon! SO EVO Vegas, EVO Japan Again, Plus this new one! They haven't announced where it will be quite yet but maybe it will be close enough to you to make the trek worth it!
Cool man. Its like i thought with all the mechanics and everything going on, motion inputs were sacrificed right from the jump with this game. Me having played FGs since SF1 in the arcade it will be weird for me at first. Ive tried modern in sf6 and i can't get it yet lol i get so confused, Im so hardwired in that series. I just hope my old brain can get adjusted eventually.
Yessir, I still agree! I think SF is actually a good example of a way I kinda don't like it tbh. Not trying to be a hater or anything, if it brings new ppl in im all for it and modern is overall fine. But the problem with Modern IMO is you have to take it WITH Classic and there are definite advantages/ disadvantages. I think this works because the game is being built from the ground up for it, and everyone is using the same thing so equal playing field.
low-key I don't want it to be "fast" like Marvel, I watched the top 6 at EVO and that game's "neutral" only lasts milliseconds. looked like people were just doing TODs into incoming mixups into TODs with little to no player interaction whatsoever. Project L looks like a slower BBTAG with more technical depth and I think that's a good thing
You have to keep in mind, UMvC3 is a 12 year old game with next to no balance patches or support from the developer, Top 6 was full of OGs who have been optimizing their teams for over a decade. With Clockw0rk on the dev team I think he probably wants that sweet spot of early Marvel where stuff wasn't optimized yet and neutral played a bigger part in the game. Notably there is no incoming mixup on character death - it's like halfway to being DBZ since both teams reset but not to mid-screen. That said it's too early to tell how high the damage ceiling will be at launch. You get the feeling Riot probably doesn't want infinites or TODs scaring away new and casual players so I think we're safe there, but just from what we've seen I think Clock and the others definitely want this game to be as dirty and gross mixup wise as Marvel, so I'm not sure how much it'll matter to new or casual players. How different will it feel for them to get killed in 1 mix or 3? It'll probably feel just as oppressive imo.
Oh yea, I agree with pretty much all that! SO far doesn't feel quite as fast, but definitely still a pretty quick game in terms of actual game speed. But on the TOD side of things, I think this will be a 2-touch kind of game. I'm personally very glad for no incoming mix-ups as well, PLUS having a burst definitely helps alleviate things even more.. Game felt great so far, and I think it will only get better!
From what I'm seeing so far, I am very impressed with Project L, and I hope it becomes one of the best fighting games since Killer Instinct. All I can say is that what the game needs is a wide & diverse roster, plenty of offline content such as an arcade mode (with a final boss & endings), survival mode, and maybe a storymode (but told in the style of Arcane) along with alternate costumes. My predictions for possible titles could be League of Fighters, Arcane Champions, or Runeterra Legends, just to name a few. As for who I want to be playable in the game, I want Warwick, Renekton, Volibear, Alistar, Rengar, Wukong, Annie, Blitzcrank, Vel'Koz, Fiddlesticks, Thresh, and Kayle.
For sure, totally agree! I was particularly impressed with how wild the game is now, it's a far cry from people thinking it would just be Rising Thunder with LoL characters. But I also definitely agree we need some hefty single-player content to go along with it! Street Fighter 6 is killing it for casual appeal and I think things like world tour are a big part of it. And lastly... hook champs for life! Really hoping for Thresh, Blitz... or both. lol
What fuse did you use the most? You said you have mixed feelings on the fuse system, so just curious. Groove similarities are there for sure, it also makes me think of the rune system in league. I think of it more as tools to compensate/gel with certain playstyles. I could be in the minority on this, but I don't see it as gating mechanics. Anyway, it's fantastic that the hype for this game is delivering so far. ^.^
The only one I didn't like was DHC being locked behind it! I just don't want that to be a trend down the line, and have other things that I think should just always be available to end up a fuse - Especially because Yasuo can DHC for himself and others can't. But, that's also just a personal thing... for some reason no matter how many hundreds of times I do it DHCs are still really satisfying to do and I don't wanna miss out on another strong fuse just to do one! haha But overall it's cool, and definitely potential be great! Double tag, Double Handshake and Fury were all good, and i'm sure the full game will have more spicy ones.
@@BruiserMinion Gotcha. I definitely understand the sentiment on DHC being a blast to use. I still enjoy playing MvC:I due to the fun mechanics of that game. The freedom to do a DHC in general would be great, but at least it's there is some way. If it was gone completely I'd feel like the game would be missing something. Speaking on the Fury fuse, did you use the special dash cancel it provides? I haven't seen anyone talk about that specifically yet.
@@Vedinian Man... NGL wish MVCI had a bigger player base these days. it would be a really good game to put some time into to Prepare for Project L, has A lot of shared DNA. I didn't really use it honestly! I knew about it, my buddy I was playing against even asked if I was dash canceling but for some reason I guess my brain never made the connection when it was live. haha
@@BruiserMinion Dude, MvC:I's player base jumped out the window the moment DBFZ hit the servers. I have it for pc and xbox and still play it if you ever wanna run some matches. I'm a slightly above average player, I think I hit 7th rank on one of the accounts. Okay. I was wondering why I didn't see the cancel utilized and now I thinking its as simple as new game, not everything is thought about while playing. Thanks for the insight. ^.^
Directional inputs and charged inputs and whatever else are pretty superficial when it comes to the skill ceiling. They're of course just remnants from the arcade days. They can be justified if the game would make use of them in a way that couldn't possibly be expressed otherwise. If that isn't necessary then it's really just a legacy thing above anything else. So I totally respect their choice to not opt in.
To me if the game is built from the ground up with simple inputs in mind ( Like this game is) it usually works! You can balance the moves and power of characters around knowing how they will work. I would have been upset if say something like street fighter got rid of them completely because it is just so much of the identity of a really long-running franchise imo, wouldn't feel the same without them. I think there is room in fighting games for both methods for sure overall though!
@@BruiserMinion Indeed. Like I said it depends on what they wish to achieve. It's stupidity to opt for such a huge design decision merely for the sake of honoring the legacy. If they can express what they want without them that's totally fine to me.
Teemo and Yuumi. lol BUT of course id have to see how they were implemented. I don't mind them as characters, I just don't care for how they play in LoL so they could be completely different here
I would like if champions would get like 3 motion specials that does not cost meta but are useful small tools, like quartercircle or charge would not hurt the game I think. Like to a maximum of 3 maybe only 2 but that would allow for more combo-depth in the gain c:
Yea that is kinda what Granblue had for the first game - you could simple input specials but there were minor benefits to doing a full-on motion input ( I guess Smash kinda has that too) But even Granblue has announced they are removing the benefits to doing the actual motion input, and it seems like a trend more and more games are going full-on no motion inputs. I really don't think this game will have them in any capacity outside supers
The only issue with parry is play skill. Once someone master it. It makes a lot of fight very 1-sided. They are very difficult to balance. Make them too strong they become necessary. Make then weak. Now you got ryu from Street Fighter 5. Project L if they keep parry. It might keep getting balanced or they might remove it.
That's a good point, I would rather parry be a little underpowered than totally overpowered for sure. Still a cool mechanic when done right, but can be absolutely game-defining if you let people do it all the time - Like Third strike of course.
Yeeeeeep! I had someone compare the Fuses to "Runes" and im still smiling about it. hahaha Doesnt bother me personally though, I think it's pretty standard fair for different fighting games to have a bunch of different lingo that mean the same thing anyway.
You know... thats a good point, I didn't really think about that very much. I feel like in older games that is how a lot of this stuff usually goes down, but I hope Riot finds a way to make at least a few of them truly viable! A few eh ones that aren't optimal I think are fine, but I wouldn't want there to be just one standout that everyone uses in tournament.
I personally think that Duo in the highest competitive level will outperform a single player. The burden of having to keep track of everything is lessen with a partner. Sure it might be inefficient at the first few years. But eventually, it will surpass. After all the phase “two heads is better than one” is a common thing.
You might be right honestly, that does make sense. I think it's gonna feel foreign and take a while for most people to get used to it at the highest level but yea two people who are just really in sync could absolutely go nuts. Watch some random twins are gonna win EVO and it's going to be fantastic. lol
Yea me too, It feels weird to be here gushing about the game when most ppl still haven't had the chance to play yet... If they do drop this Demo to the public I'm about to drop a few hundred hours into it alone. lol

So far it feels like a two-touch game, and I think they have said they want it to be tamer on the combo side than other tag games. The game is being playtested by some huge old MVC players too so if there is busted stuff to be found like Touch-of-deaths, I think people like MarlinPie, Clockwork and apology man will find a lot of it and they can make changes. Also the game having a Burst definitely helps this too!
I'd still really like to have an option for motion inputs. To me, it's just part of a fighting game and really isn't that hard to pull off as many ppl might lead you to belive. What do I have a 150€ arcade stick for now? I don't wanna play these corporate POS games like Bland Fighter 6 or Blandcombat 1 (yes I know they're good, but every time I look at them I have to think about the shitshow we call life. I just wanna escape man, I don't give a shit about some women thinking Tanya and Yuri were too pretty, neither do I wanna see a black guy beating up a cop with 2 fat black female cops in the backround for social brownie points in the marketing campaign).
Oh yea, I think that is going to be the bulk of it for sure! Maybe some battle pass-type stuff too but I have no doubt they are going to have a ton of skins.

Scaling (meter gain)
Yeeeeeep! I had someone compare the Fuses to "Runes" and im still smiling about it. hahaha Doesnt bother me personally though, I think it's pretty standard fair for different fighting games to have a bunch of different lingo that mean the same thing anyway.
fuse is gonna get the meta treatment where everyone who's competitive will use the same thing.
You know... thats a good point, I didn't really think about that very much. I feel like in older games that is how a lot of this stuff usually goes down, but I hope Riot finds a way to make at least a few of them truly viable! A few eh ones that aren't optimal I think are fine, but I wouldn't want there to be just one standout that everyone uses in tournament.
Now that you’ve played the game and the button config has been revealed, do you still plan on making character movelist/idea vids?
For sure! More so than before even. Have had some life stuff going on, but been hoping to take another crack at a character vid soon.
Watch some random twins are gonna win EVO and it's going to be fantastic. lol
i wish if they release a demo for us all to try the game...
Yea me too, It feels weird to be here gushing about the game when most ppl still haven't had the chance to play yet... If they do drop this Demo to the public I'm about to drop a few hundred hours into it alone. lol
Been waiting since day 1 can not wait for this game to come out, my 1 dream is that aatrox makes it in.
Here's to hoping we are in the home stretch brother! It might just finally happen next year... but we shall see!
When play store apps😊😊😊
Need to erase all Project L thoughts from my head for the next 5 months until the next update.
Man.... yea I know it, snap back to reality I guess. haha See you again in 6 - 8 Months!

*Maximillian Intro Kicks in*
Project L league of legends. New style king of fighters snk 😊😁
I just hope it doesn't become a one touch to death as marvel vs Capcom is.
Waiting for mah lads gragas + nautilus to do cheesy and nasty shenanigans....
Any hook champs get in and i'll be PUMPED. nautilus , blitz, thresh, pyke - I love em all
Now that you've had time with the game you can agree that Poppy would be a great character that riot should put in the game, yes?
Yea, I think she would be dope!
no one said it so i have to: beta is coming out
T O M O R R OW
TOMORROW FOR SURE.
There should be 8 characters
Jayce
Talon
Kayn
Ekko
Darius
Yasho
Jinx
Ahri
I imagine the starting roster will be somewhere around 16 - 20 champs and these are solid choices to fit the first half imo!
Project L league of legends. Not available play store 😕😕😣😣😣😥😥😥😥😥
I wonder how they're gonna make money out of this, skins perhaps? idk.
Oh yea, I think that is going to be the bulk of it for sure! Maybe some battle pass-type stuff too but I have no doubt they are going to have a ton of skins.
