"Remember: you wanted this killing game, so you have to win no matter what!"
In retrospect, that scene gave away way too much way too soon. No joke, by the time we had got to that scene, I just about had most of the important beats of chapter 6 in the bag, because the video re-affirmed so many of my suspicions and hunches.
I freaking love Rantaro , he's one of those characters who you barely get to see but still love
One of the most sinister songs in Danganronpa. Every time this plays it's as if some horrible truth has been revealed.
i agree, it's sinister in an even more evil kind of way compared to Distrust.
@@PG-qn8od
yeah distrust is more like “truth is revealed but we’re hopeful”
but this song is “truth is revealed but we’re in despair”
@@PG-qn8od Especially when you hear that creepy distorted chime every now and then! DX
This song has the same energy as DISTRUST in DR1.
DR1: DISTRUST plays whenever Kirigiri opens her mouth.
DRV3: LILPW plays whenever Shuichi opens his mouth.
I really like how this song is a remix of DISTRUST, Kirigiri's song (a detective), and they use it for the new detective.
When Shuichi opens his mouth:
Just like with Distrust, this plays every time the Ultimate Detective talks. Lel
The best song out of the whole OsT hands down. I get goosebumps every time this plays. It creates a sense of something big being exposed, I can’t really explain it:) Soooo good.
ConspicuousPiggy V3 always gave me that stomach anxiety and it's music helped. So dark and frightening, I love it compared to the other games tracks
when you say "your mom" but the person replies "which one"
you A: 'why should I remember which one'
person B: "The one that slept with your dad."
Everyone: 🗿
@@lunasam9 if we're talking about the anime she litteraly got 5 years older in like 2 weeks, that was not the servant, that was some magical shit, she just blamed him cause he got off scot free and she didn't
This is easily on par with Nagito's theme. Simply phenomenal.
I love good mystery and puzzle stories, among those favorites of mine are the Layton and Ace Attorney games aswell.
its more on par with kyoko’s theme cuz its literally a remix of it
Harpsichords are highly underrated.
Being meguca is suffering. And here it sounds like they’re playing the tune you often hear in the executions of DR2, the one that plays under the “Reach for the stars” vocals.
Man when I first heard this theme I had to look it up immediately. Soooo good
This just screams Ultimate Detective kinda like how Distrust had Kyoko written all over it.
This may be one of the most sinister tracks in the entire series.
Legit, nobody gonna talk about how the background siren sounds, sounds like the escapists 1 lockdown theme?
EXACTLY my thoughts, I was looking for a comment like these so I could relate to someone
@@notsojake finally someone who agrees lol. everytime i heard the theme in game i always thought of the escapists
You’re the first I’ve seen mention it. I spotted it the minute I heard this track.
I knew the sound was familiar. Thank god you're here. I couldn't find the sample info.
kokichi:pass the aux
shuichi:don't play trash kokichi
kokichi:
@@LavaCreeperPeople Kokichi is playing it on the aux, and it is not trash
To me this theme would fit with Tsumugi, Korekiyo, Shuichi, Rantaro, and Kokichi.
0DegreesCelsius I agree with you, expect for Kyio as he already has a theme
*K O K I C H I !*
- Schuichi (during any trial, slowly)
cant believe they made that one of shuichis voice lines outside of the trial too
Really love this one, every time it plays I get this eerie and horrific feeling from it. Really built suspense for any given moment, even when nothing was going on.
War flashbacks as kaede placed the books
I really love this soundtrack.
Probably my fav in V3 and probably within the first 3 of all DR soundtracks.
Kinda reminds me of Rantaro. I don't really know why.
Probably because it first played when Shuichi was investigating Rantaros body
this song played most of the time whenever a truth about Rantaro revealed.
for an example: this played after his death. then whenever they were talking about the ultimate hunt, they always got suspicious of rantaro since he knew more about the ultimate hunt more than everyone else. and I suppose, this played after finding out what rantaro's talent was ?
@@superluismigueL100 It first played when shuichi told kaede about the moving bookcase
I love how both of the detectives have their own cool theme song. Both Distrust & LIALPW are in my top 5 Daganronpa osts (in each game
I actually pair this with either Tsumugi,Korekiyo,Saihara or Kokichi
...Because you're a psychotic mastermind of a killing game...Achoo!
Sound like Sherlock music
Ah, as I like to call it, "the theme you hear when the plot finally starts moving forwards again!"
its pretty neat how this song is a remix of distrust cuz that was kyoko’s theme and now this is shuichi’s theme... both of them are detectives
THIS IS THE ULTIMATE DETECTIVE THEME SONG
"I'm perfect for a killing game! I don't have any faith in humanity"
Definitely one of the most memorable tracks in the series... so frickin eerie...
shuichi: *exists*
this song: *p l a y s*
The first thought that I had when this started playing was, “Kokichi”
Definitely my favorite track in V3. I love listening to during the game.
[SDR2 SPOILERS]

why does the beginning sound like gamer girl's execution theme...
Why are you marking spoilers? This is the third main Danganronpa game. If you haven't finished 1 or 2 and are going to complain about spoilers, you might want to re-evaluate your life choices.
This song sounds royal for some reason, like, some kind of royalty is about to enter the room
Ngl this is the stuff that would play if a king got assassinated or something
Ooo love this killing game
*Punches straight to the face.*
"You sick asshole!! What the hell is wrong with you!!??"
fits perfectly as the theme of shuichi, the ultimate detective.
now, is this the theme of shuichi, the person? probably not. hes a good boy and 100% cinnamon roll.
but this fits perfectly for a detective that reveals an ugly truth that you may not have wanted to see...
This is better investigation music than the actual investigation music
I doesn't really fit as investigation music, it fits as "trying to figure out something mysterious, sinister and abstract" music.
I personally think that the investigation music is the best in the series
@@nekozombie isn't that basically what we're doing when we investigate though
"Remember, you WANTED this killing game"
Sincerely, Avocado Boy
*Unexpected major contradictory yet logical conclusion during a class trial*
the train sound effect thing reminds me of The Escapists lockdown music
shuichi: breathes
drv3: PLAY THE SOUND NOW
This song, along with Spirits and Sentiment and Splendor are my favorite tracks tbh.
When the final results of the last trial show "no votes"
And afterwards we start screaming in excitement because we won a long hell-bent physical battle against over 1 trillion people.
A trillion..? I don't think the Danganronpa Earth has over 126x the real Earth's population.
@@saadiacharlton6372 Ah. it would seem I misstyped when doing the calculation. My apologies. Updated the comment now. I had estimated the population at 7.5Bln, but accidentally typed 4.5bln when dividing. (4 is next to the 7 on the numpad)
"Is it possible that Gonta doesn't remember the virtual world?"
“You got some balls lying to me. I’m going take away your fun for pissing me off, Shuichi!”
It always plays with that cutscene of the victim’s final moments alive 😢
Basically DISTRUST V3
Whenever you hear this music in the game you know shit just got real.
my friend accidentally told me this was the investigation theme and honestly just imagining it i think it makes a better investigation theme
0:33 goosebumps
shuichi: **speaks**
**Living in a Lazy Parallel World starts to play**
Man this is so good it reflects perfectly the despair in the moment and in 0:33 it's so satisfying 😩 this game has a legendary soundtrack
Before I thought this ost sounded weird and annoying, but I’ve grown to love this ost so much after Chapter 6…It’s so sinister yet catchy
This is one of the better tracks in the game. A nice hodgepodge of tracks, evoking both A Dead End to the Ocean's Aroma from 2 and Dis:TRUST from both the previous games.
I always associate this ost with the discover of the "shower" aka the prisoner lab, don't know why ... (Well, Ryoma is my favorite character after all) *hello, frenchie here, don't mind my typo haha ...*
When you suddenly remembered that you wanted this despair all along.
still goes hard months later
finally found that damned whisle noise again
it was haunting me for more than a year
this song is the ULTIMATE danganronpa soundtrack. this gives a sinister vibe to it which is a kind of soundtrack that danganronpa needs.
So I love this SOUNDTRACK! is to my type for villains!
Ive been looking for this song for a month now 👌
Can't unhear the Escapists lockdown sirens in this song
DISTRUST and the cooler DISTRUST
Bruh, I just realized this them sounds exactly like Near’s from Death Note
Y'know I was always wondering if the name of this song meant anything when playing trough the game and well...
Without spoiling anything. MmH!
fun fact; they sampled a song from a soundscape library called Background Sounds 01. It is called Scary - Background Sounds 01.
Oh shit Mr. Spinach just entered the library through the door?! O_O
That ambience tune reminds me of the lockdowns in the escpaists
[ C O N F E S S I N G . . . ]
Shuichi: -Speaks-
The soundtrack:
i LOVE this ost so much
*Lazy*
the title says it all
Shocked nobody mentioned that this samples the same weird sound that The Escapists lockdown theme uses
"I'm perfect for a killing game, I have no faith in humanity"
Probably one of the best OSTs in v3, tbh
Brings me right back to that dammed library.
Anyone else reminded of The Escapists Lockdown Theme?
Some weird stuff is unfolding : the song
This is definitely me and the boys when we just live in a lazy parallel world
This always plays whenever there’s a flashback
"the dust in the card reader is gone!"
Sounds like uncovering something you really should not have seen.
Always think about Rantaro and his killing game when this plays. Shrouded in mystery what happened with him.
This sounds really similar to the lockdown theme in the escapists
I believe... this is a reprise of DISTRUST from the older instalments.
0:31 is when shit hits the fan
I see people saying they associate this song with Shuichi, and while I see why, for me it’s always been kind of like Kokichi’s song too. Sounds like something that would fit a chessmaster like him, and I think I’ve heard it play when he speaks up too.
My teacher explaining why I’m never going to make it somewhere in life
But that's *her* lie, isn't it?
Her? Who could that be?
*The girl reading this*
The girl reading this...?

Thank you so much for sending me something, Shuichi! Let me read this!
