Thanks for the very useful video. Like your laid back presenting style. Very enjoyable. The background removal is in beta. But it seems to work just fine in your presentation. Was thinking about upgrading from 2022 to 2023. But mostly for the background removal tool. Can you tell me: does it work most of the time? Or is it dependent on what the background is? Thanks

Thanks for the kind words. Background Removal is like a lot of AI driven removal--your mileage is going to vary. Throw something that's decently lit at it and it's going to do a nice job. Especially true if you're going for that authentic modern PIP in the center or corner look. When you scale down the footage you don't see as much of the artifacting that can occur when there's lots of motion or poor lighting. It's not perfect and the beta tag is largely due to the wide variance in performance depending on the GPU / CPU combo you have on your computer. It's lightning fast on Apple Silicon, and very good on an intel Mac. On Windows, I've had decent luck with my work laptop, though there seem to be more dropped frames in preview when editing (those aren't present when exporting). Honestly, I'd gather some footage together, download the free trial and see how it works for you. I went from thinking--this isn't something I'll use a lot, to actually finding it's one of my go to effects for internal company videos where I'm on camera a lot (but not recording in a studio environment). 2¢
