Bitcoin has a concentration of wealth in excess of North Korea. Less than 3% of the global population owns Bitcoin; of that 3%, the top 1% owns over 90%. Suggesting that BTC is the wealth equalizer for the little guy is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard. If everyone had to use Bitcoin, then over 99.999% of the wealth would be in the hands of the 1%
That makes me think this was a psy op all along. Especially with governments getting on board with it now. Even where I live in Vancouver the mayor is talking about a bitcoin reserve here, it’s all on queue. Why would the elites want to get in late and enrich the early adopters. I assume they are the early adopters, how does nobody even know who satoshi is. This all stinks lol.
dig deeper. You could apply this thought on everything. Your thought does not make sense if you think it further and if you understand the problem we have with infinte fiat money. If you have a lot of bitcoin, you have to spend it or speculate, if you want to use your wealth. And you will have to buy it back for the fair price it costs. There is no creation of free money in the favor of a few. No more debt rising that is beeing paid by everyone through inflation. No Cantillon Effect. Thats the point. With Bitcoin, it gets more and more equal, with fiat its gets more and more centralized. How do you expect to distribute something in a decentralized way? How do you prevent rich people from buying more than people with less money? You cant. Bitcoin isnt an instant equalizer, something like that wouldnt even be possible in any fair way. The key is sound money. Sound and uncontrolled Money is the only way to have a fair money.
Yes. If you want euros, you still need another currency to trade for them. If you want bitcoin, you still need something of value that someone else wants for them. The nice thing is that once you have on-ramped to crypto, you can trade any crypto for another through defi, without the banking system.
You can obtain a Bitcoin wallet and either mine your own, or have it sent to you, without having to disclose your identity. It is only if you desire to convert fiat that you would disclose your identity.
Why can't I transfer the assets in my TP wallet? I want to transfer them to the Binance exchange. Does anyone know how to do it? I'm willing to pay. The trx mnemonic is: cargo umbrella risk oppose resist art glass detect obey afraid midnight hunt
Bitcoin newbie question here - what happens when all the Bitcoins are mined and owned by people or entities? What next? Nobody would like to sell it. Even if they do transact with bitcoin it will be limited to people who either own, understand or store cryptocurrency.
Try to understand how the bank system works, how they get the money, and distribute the money and you will understand why people in power don't like you buying crypto
Nobody really knows anything. The computer geeks are geeking out about the encryption technology around it but they don't even know possible flaws and how it can be controlled ultimately, and who created it. Most likely it was the NSA that created it and the plan is to use as a base for a ONE world digital currency system where all transactions can be traced. But that's in the future. It started out as a libertarian idea about how to not involve the government in your money and now it's being embraced by government. If you know the history of money it's always marketed as something for the people but doesn't end up that way. Bitcoin is no different but it can make people money so ultimately that's going to be the driver for its adoption and use.
You buy Bitcoin with Cash. You SELL Bitcoin for CASH. So we've completed the circle, and we're back to CASH, because CASH IS KING . Try buying Bitcoin with Bitcoin. Can't do it, proving Bitcoin is WORTHLESS.
you're truly clueless, Bitcoin is built to counter inflation and cash losing its buying power. Don't pretend that inflation is an imaginary thing. 106k BTC is probably laughing how arrogant you're and clueless lol!
If you bought $100 USD of Bitcoin on 01/01/2015 and exchanged it back to USD today, you would have 33,700 USD worth of money. Explain how that is worthless? Also, retailers are accepting Bitcoin at a growing rate.
You are absolutely correct. If Bitcoin is so great, why do we measure its value in USD? So, yes invest your savings in the Bitcoin Ponzi. It can’t go wrong. All you need to do is find someone who will pay you even more for your imaginary money. That shouldn’t be a problem because there’s a fool born every minute.
You’re describing fiat. Money printing transfers purchasing power from the currency holders to the asset holders, which is primarily from the poor to the rich. Wealth redistribution from the bottom to the top. Bitcoin isn’t zero some like fiat. Every person that uses it and holds it, enriches every other person on the network.
The pump and dump that doesn't really dump? People such as yourself will keep parroting the same words whilst bitcoin will keep gaining value. Bitcoin is now legitimised by the largest investment firms in the world.
do you think this is a voluntary program? there has to be an economic wage. Its the only fair and decentralized way. Energy and time that they spent has to be be awarded, that should be obvious
The biggest issue like John McAfee said is that Bitcoin isn’t private. It’s public or the government can see all transactions so in my view it’s more of a setup to prepare for CBDC. If bitcoin had privacy then maybe it would fulfill what miltonfriedman predicted
Crypto is great. Until the exchange you use goes under or decides to scam you. So people saying “it can’t be stolen or access can never be frozen like banks do” is straight bs
I think Bitcoin would be more valuable if it was bought with only gold, silver palladium, and precious metals. Basically bitcoin seems to be inflated only by the fiat currency. So how valuable is it actually. Could turn into a case of have and have Nots let’s say you don’t have at least 0.1 bitcoin, then you may be poor and living on universal basic income universal.. who created the rule that there are only 21 million but about 1/3 of its lost???
I remember when bitcoin was $500, and I thought that was crazy expensive back then. Many people do not realize that the guy with the most bitcoin can actually move the market price at will through ‘wash trading’ by buying and selling amongst himself. If he can move the market price at will, then it is not called a fair market and considered illegal. Government will never allow one person to have this much control.
Wrong and wrong. The evolution of Bitcoin is well documented and it's pseudo anonymous which is a compromise between privacy and the need to audit the blockchain.
29:00 I was going to ask, what is even the point of a centralized blockchain? My somewhat rhetorical question was answered 3 minutes later in this video: there is none. (No honest and useful point, anyway.)
I like how they are like, there is a finite supply, that can be divided basically more time the the universe has atoms, and they have no function, power goes out and they gone!
Bitcoin has a place as a financial asset FOR NOW and for some time into the future. However, there are more sophisticated products, like those from Ripple (XRP and RLUSD), which will smooth friction in the financial system and become invaluable because of the problems they solve.
Who can tell me how "the first coin" generated, who owned it? it's that 1×2×3...... until 21M?who can verify? The bitcoin is great! but the people understand the bitcoin is fool.someone can tell me how different is that issue bitcoin compared to printing dollar? And how is the difference between Bank government and per to per?

Why can't I transfer the assets in my TP wallet? I want to transfer them to the Binance exchange. Does anyone know how to do it? I'm willing to pay. The trx mnemonic is: cargo umbrella risk oppose resist art glass detect obey afraid midnight hunt
This is a fantastic video that everybody should be watching
Bitcoin newbie question here - what happens when all the Bitcoins are mined and owned by people or entities? What next? Nobody would like to sell it. Even if they do transact with bitcoin it will be limited to people who either own, understand or store cryptocurrency.
What’s everyone thoughts on it’s a currency with the volatility of crazy stocks 🤷
Needs to be a bit more stable to be a currency but I’m in.
It's not meant to be a currency, but a store of value asset.

Milton Friedman is the real Satoshi Nakamoto!!!!
Nah, it was Friedrich Hayek before him ;)
I don't have much money to invest, but is it still worthwhile investing in Bitcoin today, or is it best to wait for a pullback?
Rugpull soon😂
We’re adding to our reserves soon. Snap of out of it
Try to understand how the bank system works, how they get the money, and distribute the money and you will understand why people in power don't like you buying crypto
As long as Bitcoin is still using that wallet, it's not what he started out advertising, it's just what was borrowed to hype.
I am confused, Bitcoin is a digital currency that cannot be controlled by anybody. But Satoshi created it, so it can be controlled by satoshi??
No, Satoshi cannot control it. No individual can. He had to support the network in the beginning, and then let it go.
No, can fire be controlled by Prometheus?
@greganastas An arsonist can control fire.

Every US citizen has to be concerned about the private currency. Only nations should create money.
What about ethereum it will be the worlds computer. Bitcoin is digital gold
But theres absolutely no privacy money should be private or we know everything about each other.
You buy gold in cash you sell for cash 😂
Cash is constantly depreciating due to inflation. Your ‘King’ will be valueless
You can't use an unregulated currency in a regulated market place. Bitcoin = Tulips
Please study the money history. Bitcoin is very OLD concept like gold coins during Roman empire...
How a farmer and uneducated knows about bitcoin or crypto and how they use in future ..poor becoming.poor and rich.becomkng richer..

Try telling someone that owns Bitcoin that they can NEVER sell their Bitcoin for Cash. "Not Happy Jan" ...
So what If US create a BTC strategic reserve in January 2025? You can’t hate BTC anymore 🤗 it’s Internet money!
Well i still need the bank because the profit i gain from trading or even cash in goes to and came from my bank
Its a token used in redistributing wealth, a game of 'musical chairs , some win, some lose. Nothing more.
You’re describing fiat. Money printing transfers purchasing power from the currency holders to the asset holders, which is primarily from the poor to the rich. Wealth redistribution from the bottom to the top. Bitcoin isn’t zero some like fiat. Every person that uses it and holds it, enriches every other person on the network.
bitcoin ,like gold and Silver is real currency
Bitcoin is just a bizarre thing. Its great that people are making money with ut, but ive also seen a ton of fraud associated with it.
No you haven't
You've seen other cryptos than Bitcoin being used for fraud. Not Bitcoin itself. Also the money that is used most for crime and fraud is the dollar.
Bet you've seen even more fraud with the dollar

Oh, and Bitcoin has the carbon footprint of burning 80 million tonnes of coal per annum.
greatest pump and dump scheme in mankind’s history

The pump and dump that doesn't really dump?
People such as yourself will keep parroting the same words whilst bitcoin will keep gaining value.
Bitcoin is now legitimised by the largest investment firms in the world.
"they will shut it down" ... oh boy, he needs to do some research i guess, he will be surprised 😅
Bitcoin mining companies are there to make a profit not simply to secure your bitcoin as stated!
do you think this is a voluntary program? there has to be an economic wage. Its the only fair and decentralized way. Energy and time that they spent has to be be awarded, that should be obvious
Well yes the incentive is to generate profit and the byproduct of this is a secure network that remains decentralised.. it's genius
The biggest issue like John McAfee said is that Bitcoin isn’t private. It’s public or the government can see all transactions so in my view it’s more of a setup to prepare for CBDC. If bitcoin had privacy then maybe it would fulfill what miltonfriedman predicted
It's private in second layer. Lightning network
On no planet can you compare Bitcoin to a CBDC. You're simply not understanding the importance of decentralization.
Transferring into cash via an exchange is the only downside
What if we don’t care
Just use another address
Send to some exchange use another address
This isn’t a problem
Study Bitcoin more and it will click. It’s perfect money.
Crypto is great. Until the exchange you use goes under or decides to scam you. So people saying “it can’t be stolen or access can never be frozen like banks do” is straight bs
Hardware wallet. Not your keys not your coins

How many kids become millionaire because of Bitcoin ?
XRP!!

They failed to say that it was invented by the NSA and it's all traceable on the block chain ledger

Wrong and wrong. The evolution of Bitcoin is well documented and it's pseudo anonymous which is a compromise between privacy and the need to audit the blockchain.

It is a trust mechanism; you can validate that I have what I say I have.
I like how they are like, there is a finite supply, that can be divided basically more time the the universe has atoms, and they have no function, power goes out and they gone!
You have ignorance to infinity, just like fiat.
If the power goes out worldwide the bitcoin network won't be the problem.

Bitcoin has a place as a financial asset FOR NOW and for some time into the future. However, there are more sophisticated products, like those from Ripple (XRP and RLUSD), which will smooth friction in the financial system and become invaluable because of the problems they solve.
