My favorite Canyon in Southern California and yes I have done them all, from All the Canyons around Malibu, Mulholland hyw, Azusa mountains, route 74, 76, Laguna Canyons, S6, Mt Baldy, Las Flores canyon, route 2(angeles crest hwy) Anza Borrego. Some others like carbon canyon but they are very short.
Love the video. Thanks for staying on your lane and not crossing over on opposite lane 🤙 I’m one of the motorcycle junkies going up and down 😅 on the weekends
Yeah, thank you. No chance in hell I change lanes. It’s a public road not a race track. I’m jealous, where is the best stretch of public road I’ve ever driven on.
Fun video! I was lucky to be able to do a hill climb there about year ago with the Lotus club in my Exige S240. One of only 2 times they closed the mountain apparently!
East grade is a little less technical. Going south downhill is hell if you're trying to pick up the pace. Start from south grade and then go back down throught the east.
@@LowBoostFilms no I could tell you were barely over the limit but cops run radar and cite for louder than stock exhaust. I saw a bike get written for racing tires on his bike
The roads in California are unbeatable!
They really are!

That’s good to know! I’m glad I did it!

Definitely my favorite road. Such a beautiful place.
Yea it’s the best public road I’ve driven on!
I went up Palomar twice today. Right at an hour to the top from my house and I can take back roads almost the entire way.
That’s awesome, I’d do this all the time if I lived there!

Oh wow that would be a lot of fun to do it if it was closed!
Where is the the Planaterium?
You didn't finish.
It was closed I went past it to the top of the mountain at that overlook.
Happy to see you came to cali, great mountain roads and strict emission laws!
I love it ever time I come!
Do you feel the car wants to turn in more aggressively under braking when going down this steep hill?
It seemed pretty balanced, if anything it wanted to understeer if I wasn’t on the throttle a little.
do you have the directions to the road
Type Palomar mountain into Google maps, there’s 2 different ways you can go.

It's a great drive, but I know someone who died there. Be careful, stay fun!
I’m sorry to hear that, I definitely stayed within my driving capabilities and did not push the car
Be aware of your speed. CHP and sheriff's can be watching and you won't know their hiding spots.
Damn, I was in the clear this day. Not really pushing the car just enjoying it.

@burtvhulberthyhbn7583 that's strange. I've driven up so many times this past year, but only ever saw officers twice. Maybe it's the hours I go XD
