nice vid! i might give waterhole a go. I play with the Draxsath's Population and Technology mod. it slows the age progression and extend the population cap a little. it makes for a more enjoyable experience but games can last over an hour when playing 8 play maps. I like a good 15 minutes in each epoc really give ya a chance to duke it out with spear, lances, muskets and tanks
I think it's the best playing this game in the Information, Modern & Information Age. Never really liked older history than that. Also, nice gameplay, I sometimes even go to sleep and put this playing while I sleep.
We clearly know the best tactic is to play as Gandhi and get nuclear weapons in 3rd era and launch the 30 nuclear weapons required for the secret ending
I just redownloaded the game because I got fucking confined in a hospital due to covid. NOw after playing it for 8 hours straight. I decided to watch in youtube and behold this is the first recommendation. I don't know how they spied on what I was doing but it's okay. I'm gonna watch either way. It's not like there is something about me that is remotely interestesting.

It does not happen to you that when they play as a team with 3 other countries that the PC controls, they do not help you at all, whether they are attacking you or that you need support when attacking, they just stare calmly, that is a game error or that pass?.
Correct. In most games like this 'team' just means the CPU won't attack you and will attack those on the other team. It doesn't necessarily mean that they will support you or reinforce your position when attacking of being attacked.
but they do not even attack those of the opposing team they stay there is no more like watching a movie between you and the bad side with popcorn and everything, and those of the opposite side do not attack them as if they were all in peace except your team , is that still part of the game or is the game already damaged?
Even the AI in all the bell modes when you are allies if they do something even if they are raised against the rival team but at least attack lol. That's why I like AOE2 more in the sense of AI by teams, because RON adores the gold edition as well as the extended edition, which are practically the same but one improves graphics and multiplayer XD.

Pakhavar I beat it. It's only about trying to survive until you have nukes and world government and then smashing through their capital with an instant win. I can't win by playing it fair.
I did it, and you are right. It goes from 0 to crazy in a short amount of time after the peace treaty is lifted. the best the game could provide was 'peace until Industrial Age', but I certainly got the idea.
Right it still escalates pretty crazily after peace ends. It was like world war 1-5 lol. Anyways u should upload one like that, they'd be awesome to watch

+JohnMegacycle what I think is that sci tech always reduce the resources needed in all tech and increase the speed， so I even dun care about the other 3 kinds of tech until I get to 4th age. Certainly if I was attacked too early， I will be dead.
That's the really fun thing about this game. You could have 8 players of the same nationality and they could all play really really differently, especially with the tech. And yes, I would be dead too.
i know you don't play this game anymore and you probably won't read or see this comment, but i got triggered at 34:00, because versailles is the best wonder by far. It let's your troops become healed by your supply wagons, which is a huge bonus. also another good one, especially with russians. is the colosseum. because it gives you bonus attrition to enemies. and with russians.... it's insane.

@@JohnMegacycle actually my observation goes further than that after watching this video countless times (yes I enjoyed it that much) I actually figured out the nations of both teams from reading all the text during gameplay and achievement boards first there was your team which contains the Russians (which was you Red) the Inca (Blue) the Greeks (Purple) and the Turks (Green) then there was your enemies team that contained the Romans (Orange) the Germans (White) the French (Cyan) and the Russians again (Yellow) yes I pay that much attention to detail in these RTS games really blows your mind doesn't it?

I find that this game requires a more sensitive touch in between economy/science/expansion/military. Other games like Command and Conquer really don't have too heavy of a concern over research, and though there are technologies in those games they aren't as heavy as this one by a long shot. That being said, I'd say that you try to balance each of these game aspects as concentrating on one for too long will exhaust you in other areas and expose your nation in some manner. For example, if you 'turtle' and stay in a corner while working on tech and economy, your opponent has free reign to expand and scoop up territory, which helps their taxes, I believe. In addition to this, be prepared to be diverse in your resource collection and army composition. This game relies heavily on 'rock, paper, scissors' methodology, so be sure to include horsemen with your foot soldiers and your arches, for example. This game will take anyone a good amount of time to master, but if you stay mindful of these things, I think you are off to a good start.
I prefer EE1, gameplay is better imho, but EE2 is a really good game too, just different to EE1. Graphics and amount of units ect are really amazing. I tested it on win 10, it works on windows 10 with a patch called ee2 1.5 (incl. multiplayer server), you can buy the game on gog.com and download patch on ee2.eu ;) have fun

whenever I play these games I usually let the computer allies to their own fate. I'm a bit more helpful to human allies.

You setup teams when you setup the skirmish. There you can specify how many players Vs how many players and who they are allied with.
