Thank you so much Sam for your tutorials on APA. I have saved as my favorites, your video on "title page, running head" and I have referenced it several times in the past year for my graduate social work school assignments. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for this! I was struggling with this like crazy.
These videos are soooooooo helpful! thank-you for taking the time to create these videos !! #SmileWithFaith
This is very helpful. Thanks Sam.
Very useful video! Thanks!
life saver...thank you!
I could be wrong but I believe the Reference heading is not bolded in the 6th edition. (Purdue, Owl)
I had to double-check, but you're correct! Good catch.
Okay, Thanks. Keep up the videos! You've helped me on many occasions. Thank you.
Yeah I was wondering about that
I am using perrla APA 7th formatting, and the reference is bolded and in center alignment, but I see my classmate's reference is not bolded and also on the side. Am I doing it wrong?
Thank you so much!!!!!
You're a life saver!!!
Why is each each different type set up with different set up rules? It just makes it so complicated.
There is a method to the chaos, but it is still confusing. For example, works that are part of a larger work (like a journal article or book chapter) aren't italicized, while works that are self-contained (like a book or journal volume) are italicized. I go into that stuff a little bit in the new version of the video, which you should check out as we're onto the 7th Edition of APA Style now.
Is this video and your others addressing APA format based on the sixth edition?
+Vicki Rockwell Yes this is based on the 6th edition.
Thank you. You are amazing!
very helpful thank you
I thank you kind Sir.
the reference heading should not be bolded, i did my reference formatting based on this video and got corrected by my prof on it
Hi. Could you please show how to cite the encyclopedia of medicine book?
Cite it like any other book, but include the edition after the title so it's clear.
Thanks a lot.
What about the issue number in brackets? When to include and when not to include?
Issue number should be in parentheses. In the 7th Edition, the issue number is always included. In the 6th Edition, it depends on whether page numbers within a journal continue from issue to issue (don't include), or start back at 1 in each new issue (include).
2,294 views... not bad, amigo!
You should see my Running Head video...almost 200k views!
