WOW this video explains everything why none of the tinting companies in Australia seem to do the roof. they will tell you that they cant because roof is not recommented because cracking or because the frame or glass panel so in reality they do not want to go to the extra trouble to remove these parts and do the extra work
Damn why aren't you here 🤣 I took my y to a guy to get xpel and he cut the tint and charged me $300 but didn't install it. He said he had no way to place the tint on the window because it wouldn't stick? He does luxury cars and plenty of Tesla's so I don't know what his deal was. He for sure didn't want to remove the panels but I wish he would have just said no he doesn't want to do it. If he would have taken the panels off there was a small plastic piece and some goo from the car being wrapped during shipment that with your process could have easily been removed. I'm in Florida by the way... 😭
This is really impressive. How durable is that tint on theroof? I'm asking around because I want to be able to use the Tesmat privacy screen, which has suction cups that go up on that roof glass.
Rumors says roof doesn't need to be tinted at all on Model Y and X it is already cutting huge portion of heat and if you will tinted and if it breaks it avoids the warranty. Check other yourube tint installers who recommends to do not tint the roof.

Some tint shops refuse to tint the sunroof.
I went to two and they both refused. One said that it will shatter the window.

Super nice job !! But let me give an advise, if you squeez the wet film gently just before roll it to the pipe, it will be so much easier to apply...
