I am currently in a hotel in France. I have been in Holland and Belgium too. Things are expensive. Things are very expensive. Fuel is expensive. I have just paid €1.96 per litre, that’s £1.67. I left Aberdeen a few days ago and it was £1.47. Planing my route back into Belgium, my fuel app says I will be paying €2.21 a litre on the motorway and £2.02 in Ypres. Must be Brexit! As you drive from Holland into Belgium there is a distinct change in the roads, the amount of rubbish and the distinct feeling of neglect. Driving from Belgium into France, things got a little better, but make no mistake, there are big problems here as well. Not seen any police, bins overflowing, grass not cut in public areas, lots of boarded up houses in the town we are in. It has the feeling of Great Yarmouth on a winters day. This is my second trip into Europe in the last 8 months and both times have seen similar things. The thought that Europe is all milk and honey is absolutely not true. In general, they have the same issues here as we do. Brexit may have affected imports for us, but Europe has its own issues to deal with.

Or what's her view on the PPE £Billions wasted by her government on not fit for purpose PPE ? Or the £BILLIONS wasted by the Tories on HS2 and lots of other over budget and behind schedule projects in England. Or, indeed, the £34k taxpayers money used by one of her party to pay off her own libel bill? She always has something to say about other parties but when it comes to the money wasted by the Tories she keeps quiet. I wonder why?
