Morning people,
sorry for the mistake in the video,
I had some problem with the encoding.
So one guy is disappearing for a sec.
and in the beginning is a mistake too.
It is a bug in Adobe Premiere.
I know some people been asking for this for a while.
This song has a looooot of guitar tracks.
It took a while to hear what they are playing and to
record and mix it, but I am really happy with the result.
Only the Acoustic Beginning is not that good.
A way better guitar was needed but not available.
Again I used the Toneport, not my real amp,
cause it is just too much work to pack the amp and drive to the studio
and all back. And I can record longer at home, no noise.
I have the Midi Notes for the drumtrack from a Guitar pro file
from ultimate-guitar, it was perfect, didn't have to change anything.
The end of the solo is not like the original, I couldn't hear
what he is actually playing. And it is way too fast for me.
Had to record Piece by piece.

Amp: Line6 Toneport UX2 with Powerpack Addon
Recording Software: Steinberg Cubase 4
Drums: Toontrack EZDrummer with dfh AddOn
Camcorder: Sony HDR-SR11
Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro CS4

This song has grown on me for the last couple of months. Badass. Yeah, Jesterdays are gone, but this album is A+ all across the whole album. It's as perfect as the Come Clarity album!

@schehf ok, im using a esp ltd m-10 which is good for me though not very excellent, and i plan to tune to standard c for the IF song artifacts of the black rain. Is the daddario 13-62 a good idea for this?

Yes, there are a lot of different guitar tracks in that song, not possible to play that live.

Ich weiß dass bist du bestimmt schon oft gefragt worden aber:
Du hast doch 13-62 Saiten. Sind ja ziemlich dicke. Ich kenn mich da nämlich noch nicht so aus deshalb wollt ich fragen wann man dicke Saiten besorgen sollte und wann dünne. Ich spiele selber ausschließlich nur tiefe Stimmungen. Sind da dicke Saiten besser? Und haben die eigentlich einen klanglichen Unterschied zu dünnen?

This is In Flames' very best solo ever, all your covers from them are totally amazing, the mix is awesome, only thing I feel could have made it better was lowering that midi hi-hat, lowering as in both volume and lower tune, a lil bit less treble one would have fit better, I've noticed it on all covers that were uploaded around the same time as this one; another note, just for this one, is that the lead guitar parts like at 0:50 is too low. Anyways and once again, I'm few years late but I love your covers, I've also taken some time to check out your own songs, those are sick too! Congrats on your very well developed musical skills, that's a gift not many can have (:

Hey schehf, i noticed that ur using daddario 13-62 which is the baritone light type right? im using a daddario 10-46 is this a good idea or should i use larger gauge strings?

i can't really pick a favorite cd cause each one has somethingto it i like. Il say that my least fav is reroute to remain.. idk y but i cant really get into that cd even though i like free fall trigger cloud connected and system. not saying its a bad though

@schehf I like the 12 gauge, but I feel as though I'm not getting the right sound. I'm fearful that the 13-62 might be too strong for my warlock though.

@grudge579 i'm trying 10-46 now on my guitar that is in drop A# (in flames and schehf's tuning) and it doesn't really work, it is easy to play but it sounds bad and it's hard to tune, get thicker strings for drop A#, at least 12-56 if you ask me
