Baking soda mixed with corn starch as deodorant works WONDERS!! You mix it in a container and I just use an old powder brush i sanitized to apply it. My dad is a physician but he just recently got his PhD in alternative medicine and he made us all switch a few months back and it works so well!! It absorbs sweat and smell AND if you have issues with dark pigmentation on your armpits it gets rid of that over time as well. It's also a lot cheaper! A huge bag of corn starch and baking soda will last a long time and you can share as opposed to regular deodorant.
+Cat Catastrophe you're welcome! Another thing my cousin tried (her dark pigmentation was a lot darker than mine so I didn't feel the need to do this) was putting a little bit of water into the mixture to create a paste. She would then put it on her armpits for ten minutes before her shower and then just rinse it off in the shower. She said it helped speed up the process for her. :)
Essential oil isn't flavoring. Some of them are actually dangerous on your skin. What you showed was extracts and candy flavoring, they are similar enough to mistake but also different.
Sadly, my friend's grandma passed away from cancer with aluminum as a main factor. I suggest the Tom's of Maine Lavender deodorant which is all natural and long-lasting as well. Hope this helped! Sarah we love you keep up the good work!
Agar agar MUST be refrigerated to set. Unlike gelatin that sets at room temperature agar agar does not set at room temperature and has to be placed in the fridge. This might be why the agar agar did not work.
From LUSH I've just started using"the greeench" and I love it! I've never had a deodorant that worked the whole day for me. I've found that it doesn't work on armpits that are already dirty, so if I apply it without taking a shower right before, I'll use a cotton pad with alcohol to take off the dirt, sweat, and bacteria from my armpits. Since it's a powder, the best way to apply it is to put some on the back of your hand, then rub it onto the armpit (there's a video on YT on how to apply it). But using that method, especially with cleaning the armpit prior to application, the powder works very well.
You should go I definitely recommend it is so good for you skin, I live in England, Lincoln so I don't get a big LUSH but in America you get basically every product made and they are all so good
I used to be obsessed for lush and literally buy tons of items.. It honestly is a waste of money. Most of the stuff that is good for your body you can get anywhere else and just as good for half the price..
+Princess Lorraine (Lorry) I agree that it's overpriced however, the shampoos and conditioners are totally worth the money. They last so long and honestly in my opinion made my hair feel and smell fresh for a while. But hey, whatever floats your boat
I remember I started to watch sheer videos just when she started to make rainbowlooms. I haven't watched her since but I can say her videos have really improved.
Primal put paste is awesome. I love the orange cream scented one & I use the crystal salt deodorant spray from tjmaxx or marshals on top. It's awesome!
I've never been to Lush (there's not one very close to me) but those DIYs look great! I really want to try and make the sugar scrub... looks easy and cute! I've never heard of gelatin mixed with body wash! I'm glad you include the ways that don't work as well as the correct method, I've always appreciated that about your videos! Great job as always!
does the gelatin smell overpower the jellies? I've worked with gelatin before and it smells awful, I'm wondering if it still smelled like it or how strong the smell of the soap is
+Natalie Goode To me it just smells like the soap I used, because that has a strong fragrance! As long as you add scent you won't (or shouldn't) smell the gelatin, because gummy bears & Jell-O both contain gelatin and those smell fruity. :)
Okay so you look like soooooooo much like this ballistic lady who chased me around my schoolyard during a fair. So I kinda can't watch you without thinking about one of the worst experiences ever.
I have used Soft & Dri aluminum free deodorant and Arm and Hammer essentials. They both work really well. The Essentials is found in the Men's department but you could never tell!
I love this Lip scrub so much. But I don't have a lush in my city. I have ordered from their website and I LOVE their lip scrubs but I like this one better. This video helped me so much. I usually fail when I try to make lip scrubs but this one turned out really good! I recommend labeling them with a label/label maker to add an extra touch.
Thank you for making this Sarah! I always want to try making lush products, but I never had Citric Acid! Now I can finally make something with something you can easily find at a store! My jellies are in the fridge now! ☺️
Defffffinitely try the Ro's Jam body wash and the Rose Jam Bubbleroon! The smell is HEAVENLY! The smell also comes in a body conditioner, Ro's Argan Body Conditioner... My personal favorite products.. haven't gotten to try the face masks but I'm planning to soon!
Love the lip scrub because most lush diys on UA-cam require stuff I have to go buy, but all that I already have so I'm definitely going to try it! tysm!!
most people don't like taking baths, but I love them especially with lush bath bombs. with that being said I take a shower before and scrub everything really good and shave then I take a bath so maybe that's the way you could try it so you don't feel like you're sitting in dirty water. hope you love your bath bombs.
you should try pectin for the shower jellies, I don't know if it would work but that is what is used in fruit leather and stuff like that to harden it.
Hi! I used to work as a DNA technician and we used to use agar to make electrophoresis gels to run DNA through all the time. The tricks with making agar agar harden are : 1) try increasing the percentage of agar powder to liquids (add more agar powder) [usually when we made electrophoresis gels, we use around 0.5~2.0% agarose powder gel, but the agarose powder we use is much finer, much more pure, and insanely expensive, so with the cheaper, widely available ones, I would recommend increasing the percentage] (try 3 - 5 % or however much it takes to solidify). 2.) See if you made the correct percentage. One of the biggest problems I had with new interns making agarose gel is that they get the percentages wrong. a 5% agar solution is 5g agar powder /100ml liquid (in your case, water). 3.) heat agar in water in separate jar, and repeat heating in microwave until it DISSOLVES COMPLETELY (if there is white powder, if the liquid is cloudy and not entirely transparent, keep heating and swirling!!) The agar we have at the lab is already really fine and pure, and should in theory be easier to dissolve than the one you have, and it takes a good while to dissolve our agar completely in the liquid, let alone yours, so don't skimp on this step, make it transparent! Since you said the bottom part settled but the top part stayed liquid, I think perhaps you didn't dissolve the agar completely, and thus it settled to the bottom, so that the bottom part had enough agar concentration to solidify, whilst the top part stayed liquid. Best Of Luck! I Love what you're contributing to all natural beauty and cosmetics! Anita
The Way She Said Lush In The Beginning Was So Funny! Not In A Mean Way! I Loved I Vid And I Love Lush. My Favorite Product Is Shower Jelly I Have The Lemon Lime One!
Sarah, you are such an inspiration for me, I’ve been watching you for 2 years, you were the first person I subscribed to on UA-cam, you’re vids were the first vids I watched
My favorites are the 93,000 miles bath jelly, bubble gum lip scrub, and their Charity Pot lotion! Lol I can't go there without atleast $40..... Lush is amazing! For anyone that never has been to Lush, I would consider going to your local one asap!
You can try using (unfiltered) Apple Cider Vinegar as conditioner! I usually get mine from Trader Joes. Transfer it into a spray bottle and spray your hair in the shower post shampoo like you would a regular hair conditioner. It has an acquired smell but it goes away once your hair dries. I do it on a bi-weekly basis and it leaves my hair feeling super soft and silky
If you go to old town then there is a bath store there is all kinds of natural deodorant and so much more its a little expensive, but totally worth it. I highly recommend it!!!!!
hi Sarah!😊 I am very natural myself and the deodorant I use is arm and hammer deodorant I know that's notvery specific but as long as it is only deodorant and not antiperspirant. that is the cancer causing chemical hope this helped! love you
I love lush! only problem I have with them is that they use sulfates in their shower products, especially their shampoos. I noticed after I stopped using them, that I have less hair fallout in the shower. hope that helps!
hi i cant belive you live in Ohio it made me so happy when i heard that it's because i live in Ohio to and it dose get really cold but it has gotten warm a little

+alexandraxoxoxo11 That sounds like the easiest recipe ever! Thank you for sharing.
I am going to have to try this. I have really dark armpits so thank you so much 💙

Lush has several aluminium free deodorants too.
Agar agar MUST be refrigerated to set. Unlike gelatin that sets at room temperature agar agar does not set at room temperature and has to be placed in the fridge. This might be why the agar agar did not work.
U said it opposite

I use Soft&Dri, it smells good, its long lasting, and its aluminium free. I can't decide if I like the sweet bliss scent or powder fresh scent better.
"Hey guys i'm Sarah the most beautiful girl in the world"
those diys are awesome! I really want to try out the shower jelly!!
Can you do a part 2 because I found the diss really helpful since I don't live near a lush
Hi it's Zoe yeah me neither
I visited lush for the first time last year in California and I was OBSESSED with the shower jelly!
Are the lip scrubs you made edible like the LUSH ones? Loved this video!
I remember I started to watch sheer videos just when she started to make rainbowlooms. I haven't watched her since but I can say her videos have really improved.
OMG I'm so excited to make these! Thank you, there is no lush near me and it's expensive. Keep up the videos :)
Also, I use Tom's deodorant which is cruelty free, aluminum free, and fairly natural
Primal put paste is awesome. I love the orange cream scented one & I use the crystal salt deodorant spray from tjmaxx or marshals on top. It's awesome!

I tried this with regular Jello powder and it worked too!

The stick deodorant from the brand Desert Essence is good, I think I have it in Tropical Breeze. It's non-GMO and has good ingredients!
