I talked to the breeder couple days ago and as they are in my country I HOPE to snatch one of these when they become available 😍 that hypo black diamond is GORGEOUS!
If you do I'd love to know if you plan to breed it and to what morph!
@@SarahsSnakeShop I love black snakes, I would love to have a black african housesnake. So it's amazing that such a dark corn popped up! I don't think they will end up completely black as adults but we will see 🙏. They said the list of ppl wanted some is huge already but hopefully i can get one in a couple of years! I would love of course to try them out with Palmetto and perhaps with Pied 😳 just imagine a black and white snake....how cool would that be!
I think the name Morado would be nice. That is the name of the black maize of Peru. So a corn snake would have a corn name. Still I am not sure that it would be that confusing but would just take a bit of time to learn. The darker patches on the back look diamondish so it also fits visually. Obsidian would be nice though.
Ohh Morado would have been cool! Someone mentioned Noir - the French word for "black" - which we could just use I suppose? Sort of like Kastanie being the German word for chestnut. We don't call them chestnut, we call them Kastanie
Like the IMG (Increasing Melanin Gene) in Boas, curious if it will continue to get darker and darker to almost solid black as adults or if they will keep thier pattern...pretty cool, thanks for sharing!
I also look forward to seeing what they'll look like as they grow! I think I'm hoping for a solid black, since we don't hav any mutations that can give us that look yet
There is still a chance for obsydian. Imagine mixing those with red coat or something that deepens black colour. Someone could just call one of combos as obsydian :D

Also,sometimes extreme okeette scaleless cornsnakes a REALLY black.Who has some scaleless corns,and pure line "okeette",wiil agree .
There are definitely some dark colored corns out there! But this is the first ~mutation~ that's all black. That's the biggest difference. Pure Alabama line corns also are really dark

I think the thing to see is how this plays with lava and lavender. maybe we can get a true purple, or a blue cornsnake
That would be super cool! We see how Hypomelanistic + Hypermelanistic = brown snake. So maybe adding lavender or dilute or something would make it a whole different color!
