I am TERRIFIED of these flushers like I have paruresis which is the fear of public bathrooms but these toilets make me too scared to even go into stalls I can't fix this fear does anyone have any tips
I was always wondering how they got the power and aged and still worked! I always thought there was rechargeable batteries inside and a small hydro generator inside making the sound to charge the battery
Y'all ain't lying, those toilets give me the willies because of everything about them. The things that make them flush give off that sound to make the toilet flush and I would have to either cover my ears and run like hell out of the stall. that's why I never use those toilets.
Also, batteries???? I thought it would have a single tiny re-chargeable battery that would have a built in generator using the flushing pressure to recharge it.....it's just a motion sensor, does it really use that much energy to require those for large batteries that then need to be replaced frequently? Seems like too much maintenance.
Working facility maintinence for about 5 years. Installed some of these flushers a couple years ago and only a few have gone out. I think the four batteries provide ample power for many years. All its doing is detecting difference in light so it can switch the flush. Not as much maintinence as you think buddy. Though, i do believe there are newer versions, maybe different power source. Do some research on that im not for sure.
some customers do not flush the toilet. The accumulated urine does not leave a very pleasant smell, in addition it incurs more cleaning expenses. This solves the problem of hygiene and additional cleaning costs.
This invention is horrible. As a Brit going to Canada the first time, I suffered because of this automatic flushing. It kept flushing to slight movements in the cubicle and the flushing has a horrendous loud sound!!! I was scared to even pee, incase it would flush whilst I was peeing and I would get splashbacks!! :( I should control the flushing, why is the flushing controlling me!!!!
I believe that if there is toilet paper in the bathroom, you have to block the “camera” with it, then you can do all the peeing you have to do, when you are done, simply take the toilet paper off and dump it in the toilet, the toilet then flushes If the bathroom has no toilet paper (very likely for those cheap public bathrooms) then use your own or an alternative, but anything to block the “camera”.
No you don't want to install auto sensors in your bathroom because they are not efficient; flush while you're on the toilet, and they scare you because they flush automatically at the wrong time. They also ruin the flush of a toilet and makes it use an unnecessary amount of water. Dis-i-liked.
So you don’t know the answer but the truth of this story has always existed that is the only reason we can have this discussion in our own lifetime is to be a true democracy
These are horribly designed....why the FUCK is it so sensitive as so to flush at the slightest movement? Like when grabbing toilet paper for instance. Tell you what, leave the over sensitivity, but program it to wait at least 60 seconds between flushes, no reason for it to auto flush due to movement every 3 seconds!!!!! Fucking DUH, those designers should be fired, everyone of them should be for this glaring oversight.
These sensors always flush a bunch of times even while you're using the toilet and sometimes they don't even work at all.
That’s right
I know this when I was 7
😊
These type of toilets give me anxiety. Especially the ones that flush by itself. I have to cover my ears because of it being extremely loud.
Glad to see I’m not the only one that feels like this. 😩😔
Having Toilet phobia is just ugh omg
literally!
Exactly. This is why I never even bother to go to public bathrooms with auto flush toilets.I also hate small spaces so that’s a no.
I completely understand. I'm correctly working my therapist to help me past this phobia.
I’ve always hated automatic flushometers because they flush when I use the bathroom especially for number two!!!
I am TERRIFIED of these flushers like I have paruresis which is the fear of public bathrooms but these toilets make me too scared to even go into stalls I can't fix this fear does anyone have any tips
I am the exact same way. I start crying if I even see an automatic toilet
My TRIBE! I’m 24 years old still afraid, this video had me lightheaded
I’ve been afraid of them since I was a kid..
my idea is to take a piece of toilet paper and cover the sensor
I was always wondering how they got the power and aged and still worked! I always thought there was rechargeable batteries inside and a small hydro generator inside making the sound to charge the battery
I like the camera and the automatic flush
I feel like these are camaras
That's why It gives me the creeps.😨
Me too

Doing facility maintenance at schools this solves the problem of people using their feet to flush toilets
Plus you never have to worry about seeing something in the toilet
I hate those automatic toilets. They scared me when it flushes so loudly.
😱😱😱
These don’t work

Aaron Beardsley interesting. So it's for longevity not power needs. Got it
Perfectly as described!
Petition to keep regular flushing so we don’t get splashed 24/7
I hate these things… they flush unexpectedly and the water splashes onto you.. gross
A rebaged Sloan EBV-89-A automatic flush valve.
Why would anyone waste money on this?

the thing that sucks though that every time you see a toilet like that, it would be unnecessarily loud, meaning it is a great chance of scaring people
To scare people like me.
@@jackr1127 If it's loud with the sensor you bet your ass it's loud without the sensor
It depends on the toilet, not the sensor
@@ROMMERBATISTAI would rather witness and smell the most vile unflushed toilet than suffer through one of those.

youre lucky yours wasnt one of those ball soakers that basically overflow the bowl before evacuating

This looks awfully similar to the Sloan EBV89A.

Please if you are an employer do not buy these your cleaners will be miserable these do not flush unless you are trying to clean them
I always avoid those auto flush toilets.
Freaking issue
