This song sounds like it could could straight up be a secret band track. The experimentation Jon does on his vocals is so insane. Honestly these last three songs on the album are my favorite, excited for Nothing Shameful and Into The Sunset!

One of the most heaviest tracks on this álbum.
I remember the very first time I heard those opening guitars - I immediately got HUGE Secret Band vibes and I was so excited.

Say Hi is so good, some of Jon’s more emotional lyrics tbh, and just a killer vocal performance.
Next track though? Might be the best DGD song. Not on the album, but ever.

Matt Mingus (the drummer) has been the GOAT since 2005. I'm convinced there has never been a cleaner snare in the game - everything he does is immaculate, and this track was no exception. Great reaction!
This to the end of the album is a real experience, especially nothing shameful 🤟

Say Hi is my favorite song on Afterburner. The lyrics are haunting (“Why do people stare? Are they noticing you there? Swap me for my clone and don’t touch me when I’m stoned”) and (“Did you notice I”m normal?”) feel like they were written specifically for me- someone who has struggled with self esteem issues and has always been a bit of a loner. Jon and the drummer Matt are fully unleashed on this one after being somewhat held back on some of the earlier tracks. The chaotic instrumentals remind me of earlier DGD (and of course Secret Band!) and are much more powerful than many of the safer songs on Afterburner imo. I also love Tilians lower range on this track, he doesn’t always need to be showing off his super high highs lol. If I can request DGD to play one song live on their next set list, it’s a toss up between Lemon Meringue Tie (still haven’t seen it live despite seeing DGD live 5 times, would have seen it last time but Jon was sick and they had to alter their set list 😢)and Say Hi. Can’t say enough about this one lol. Anyways Nothing Shameful is next, and this would be my favorite track if not for Say Hi. The next two are awesome and have some surprises in store for you 😀. One of which I hinted about many months ago lol. Thanks again for an awesome reaction, as usual!

This was the first song i heard off afterburner cuz someone leaked it and my brother sent me it but the next song is top tier DGD
crazy... i had a fling with a girl around the time this album came out and i actually never really listened to this album. but going back. this is AMAZING stuff from them
You can just tell Jon had a lot of fun with this one. And its always dope to get other ppls opinions, bc while i feel the meat and potatoes are in the middle of this album, some friends say the final 3 tracks are the goods. But we can all agree DGD are in their own league

This song is a fucking BANGER. Absolutely amazing. The next one is also top tier DGD, might be one of my favorite songs they’ve ever made honestly. This song leads into the next one very well so if you could figure out a way to lead this into the next through UA-cam I’d definitely recommend it!

Honestly one of my least favorite songs on this album, not a big fan of the voice editing (all the demo team style edits, but without irony), also Tilian's chorus is just kind of lame.. Otherwise sick guitar/drums and decent Jon parts
