Catch me if you can is the coupling song from BABYMETAL's 2nd single Ijime, Dame, Zettai, and was released in 2013. The song is also included in BABYMETAL's first original album BABYMETAL.

„Kakurenbo“ was correct. It‘s the Japanese word for the game „Hide & Seek“, which is just what this song is about (albeit with an Oni, an Ogre / demon creature from Japanese mythology).
Oy! Actually the people in the background aren't Babymetal haters, they're the Babymetal roadies//crew members! :-) The tall caucasian guy I'm pretty sure is a Great Guitarist Sam Totman of the Power Metal band Dragon Force. Cheers!

Good reaction. As you spotted this was a compilation of videos from many different performances. The audio came from one of their shows at the Budokan in Tokyo in 2014 so the first guitar solo was actually played by Takayoshi Ohmura (the video suggested it was Mikio Fujioka (RIP)). The other soloists were correct - they were Leda Cygnus, BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyoama on drums.
The video for the Budokan, Black Night performance is on UA-cam and even has English subtitles.
'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game like hide & seek or tag that I know of ... but they are playing with an Oni - a sort of Japanese ogre. The growling vocals (on the backing track) are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" to which the only correct response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance.

Oni is what they call the person who is "it" while playing tag or hide and seek. It can be translated as demon, devil, ogre, troll, orc, etc.

Babymetal has performed at Rock Im Park/Rock Am Ring. But even in 2018 they aren't as much "little girls" anymore, they are more grown up (especially because they were in their 'dark side' customes).
They have not performed at Wacken, but they were scheduled to perform at Hellfest in France which maybe might help get them to Wacken eventually.

If much of their charm is in the blending of the cute and the brutal, this song is a great example.
While 'Megitsune' is still my favorite, this has one of the cutest choreographies.
They performed this song quite a bit in 2017, but not since.
The last time I saw this one was in Chula Vista, California when they were on tour opening for Korn.
We've had quite a few BABYMETAL songs reappear on the setlist after a long break, so this one could make a comeback.
That bass solo was a killer :) Have not watched many Babymetal videos, but I have always noted that their musicians are top notch.

So they clips from when is was raining is from a Download festival, which it poured that year bad. So it is nicknamed drownload for that year. The folks you don't care about standing on the side of the stage are Babymetals producers and from what I remember It's also members from Bring Me the Horizon. They have been friends ever since. And they did a song together "Kingslayer" which is on Bring Me the Horizon's newest album. Babymetal trivia there's video of Babymetal watching other bands from the side of the stage as well.
K-pop bands like BTS are definitely popular around the world and like those bands Babymetal is a corporate product. But Babymetal has the big advantage of being original and that's all down to their producer Kei Kobayashi. He seems to be pretty restless musically and so Babymetal songs are often a real surprise. That might not be the best strategy for selling lots of CDs and tickets in the short term or maximizing Spotify plays, but it has won Babymetal a very devoted and considered following that I think it will give them longevity.
"Catch me if you can" must be the heaviest song about hide and seek ever. I suppose when you are being chased by iron club wielding ogres things get dark and heavy. The song is about kids being chased by Japanese ogres called Oni which is acted out in several Japanese annual festivals. There is also a mention of "not going out in red shoes" which will probably remind Westerners of a Hans Christian Andersen story while Japanese people will think of a children's poem about a young girl that is taken from her parents.

Great reaction. This is a compilation videos of different Babymetal performance. CMIYC at Budokan Black Night would be a great option but tend to get copyright infringement. Same goes for Legend Of 1997 Apocalypse performance. Compilations videos tend to be a safer options but diminished the excitement. Only Babymetal can formulate a song about playing hide and seek with an ogre or demon and sung to a choreographed dance routine by three adorable Japanese teenagers in frilly outfit. There are performances of this song on UA-cam which i think you will enjoy more . I think compilations take something away from the performance . You obviously enjoyed it you could tell . Like your reactions to BabyMetal and hope you do more . There is a channel on UA-cam called "BabyMetal Reactors Resource " made by a fan percificly to help Reactors they have done all the work so you dont get blocks or copyright strikes . Always love some Babymetal. Can you also please try out some Band-Maid? They are a all female hard rock band also from Japan. They are amazing! I recommend their live more than videos but it's all good. Try out Domination, Warning, Play, or Different.

This was a poorly made compilation video of the song. It begins off with the wrong guitarist. It mixes up Leda and Mikio (Leda is at the beginning with the wig and Mikio is the one who is happy and smiling) then it shows Leda doing the 2nd solo and leaving out Takayoshi (pink sparkle guitar) who's in most of the video. This is the problem with compilation videos. The easy part is the girls dance routine because it's basically the same at all shows. This makes it easier to merge different videos. The hard part is the Kami band solos because they do something different at each show. But they don't have to worry about that since 2018 since they took away the solos and made this act more of a pop show then metal. So they should just be called Baby LOL
