Mine got "stuck" on the mount . Interference with the knob to tighten the Shoe. Now does not move , just hums quietly when I try to raise or lower it using the Software. Any suggestions what to look for? Thanks

Very useful info. My clutch screw stripped out so I'm in the process of this mod plus the full cleaning and re-lube. Do you happen to have the knob STL posted anywhere?

Hi during your video at 6:17 about the clutch mechanism, do you know where to get the spare part for it? I overtightened mine and now the threads got damage and couldn't tighten it.

5:28 Mine grinds even with all the bearing pieces in place. Any ideas about what to add as a spacer?

Hi, I had the binding in RA but I just loosened the lock set screws a bit and that made it smooth with no binding. I seem to have star trails however even at 60 sec. as the RA/DEC are still numbers when guiding just the ALT/AZ move. It does slew to a target OK. Did I loosen too much? I never removed the collar to see the bearings. Just loosened the grubs to move smoothly. No clicking, the slewing sounds good. It will drift from my star after 10 min. and I never tried ALT/AZ mode which does move in RA/DEC. Can it just be bad polar alignment? Hard to polar align except roughly with Polaris obstructed.

AZ-GTI does not need polar aligment scope
in eq mod, syncan app have feature to make polar aligment step by step

Yes, but who wants to calibrate that every time you accidentally bump it or something. It's just a lot nicer to have a scope on there. Being that it is not made for astrophotography is not finite and exact enough to be used reliably. Having the electronic polar scope fixes all of that
