THROWING A BIG CAST NET FOR SHINERS? IS IT WORTH IT?

We have historically used a 6' net for our shiner catching endeavors. In this video, Lorenzo wanted to see what would happen if we threw the big fast sinking net we got a few years ago. He learned how to throw this net as young as 11 years old and now he wants to open it in the canal for some shiners. The question is; Is it worth the hassle? Or should we just stick with what has always worked for us - the 6' net?

Is it worth it. Any day on the water with your son is worth it in my opinion. My sons are now grown with their own families and one lives overseas permanently. I would give anything to spend a day on the water with them again. I envy you, and you are raising a great son with an equally great attitude in Lorenzo. With great respect... Joe
