Jägermeister's ingredients include 56 herbs, fruits, roots, and spices, including citrus peel, licorice, anise, poppy seeds, saffron, ginger, juniper berries, and ginseng. ... Contrary to a rumor that has circulated on the internet, Jägermeister does not contain deer blood or elk blood.
Its a myth before 1934 it contains blood but not now , now its stored in oak barrels and prepared from 56 herbs some of them are very rare

Once I tasted Jagermeister but didn't know to drink chilled or kept in -18degree.
So I took the shot in room temperature and I felt it very "teekha".
And one more thing, it smells similar to medicine syrup........Reason might be its ingredients used which is why "Herb" word is mentioned there.

It was a priveledge to visit the factory. The staff was welcoming, explained the process but excluded obviously inner details. The spice room was the best where actually they have all spices for display. This factory only produces the mast, bottling is done somewhere else. The square shape of bottle is for more rigidity during transport.

By the way sir. The base drink of Cointreau is not brandy it's a Neutral spirit. Same orange flavour with the base of cognac brandy will give you Grand marnier.

Dada can you comment on shelf life ? Both unopened and opened bottle. I bought big 1.75 L bottle couple of years ago. Don’t know what cocktail to make out of it. So never opened it. I am not into shots. Don’t care to get drunk real quick. I’ll leave it to college kids

If whisky then you can consume life long, whisky does not have an expiry date
