Always great videos, but I absolutely loved the burn test piece and you showing the importance of going beyond the initial burn as the results may change along the way. Great job!!!
I would fold over brown paper bag material and make it look tasteful and separate the tea lights down the middle that would create a firm hold and an easier way to remove one tea light at a time
Hey Ericka , I just made my first batch of candles and would greatly appreciate your feedback on the outcome I’ve been learning from your channel thanks for sharing your videos❤️
Hi Erica! 😊 I have a question about etsy shipping. I know you said you offer free shipping and include the shipping fees in the price of your candle, but is that how you use the pirate ship website? I wanted to use pirate ship and i’m not sure if I can use the etsy shipping where they calculate it for you and still use shipping labels off of pirate ship? I’m new to all of this shipping stuff so I apologize if that was a super dumb question lol. Thanks for all your help! 💕
Hi Erica! Great video!. I like your tiny one cell wax melts, pretty neat. I personally use a silicone mold for my company. The results on the candle burn test was amazing. I think the cinnamon/vanilla needed a bigger wick, lol! I guess you knew that. You do such a nice job explaining the math. Math isn't my strong suit for sure and it took me a little struggling to get it right when I first started candles. I did pick up the easier way on 16/17's channel. She is awesome too. Just wanted to say glad to see you posted it starts my weekend right! Have a great weekend too!
Thank you so much for sharing the ideas about tea light samples. I love the labels you chose. Clean and clear. Plus, I liked how you showed the difference between the plastic and paper boxes. I checked prices and paper were more affordable for me and I felt I could you decorative paper or white tissue inside to prevent movement. I really enjoy your help and like Tennie appreciate your help because you have tested boxes and shipping that helps prevent a lot of frustration. I hope and pray for your continued success Erica. Ty. My question is what do you normally charge for a sample set and what type of wicks and size did you use?
When making tea lights, do you stick your wicks down before adding the wax, or do you place your wicks after pouring the wax? Thanks! Love your videos!
So I’ve been trying to find the best and efficient way to do the burn tests and this helped a lot. I’ve been having problems with my tin candles burning too hot like the one in the middle on the 3rd burn. What would u suggest to fix this issue? I use 464 wax.
Hi, I am stuck. For the wax sample formula. I have six sample wax melts and at 65 grams it wasn’t enough. I had to multiple 65 by 2 to be able to fill the sample tarts. What am I doing wrong? I am so confused
Hi Erica I have a question, I have weighed my FO at 4gr and wax 40gr, but then when it hardened the total weight is always 43gr and not 44gr, do you perhaps know why? Thanks in advance! 😊
What are some basic info that we have to put in our tealight warning label? I'm looking on the internet but most of them are for regular candles or wax melts.
@@MemoryBoxCandleCo thank you so much your videos are so helpful I have so many ideas racing through my mind it’s crazy but I have to be patient lol but thanks for your response!
do you recommend trimming to 1/8 inch instead of 1/4? :) I’m always really conflicted about how low to trim my wicks and how much it may be affecting my burns
Hi Erica I find your videos super helpful. thank you. quick ? what wax do u recommend for container candles for the best hot and and cold scent throw ?
What wick did you use for testing those soy blend? I’m on testing stage right now and it’s been a struggle. Sometimes, I want to cry but I told myself not to give up. 😔
Sorry if I missed it in the video, how much are you charging for the tea light sample packs? I’m doing the same thing right now but I can’t figure out what would be an okay price to list them. Love the content girl! I love watching your videos for more inspiration ❤️
@@MemoryBoxCandleCo That's my go-to wick for these too. Oddly enough the white tins sometimes burn hotter than the black, lol! When an Eco1 doesn't work for a FO, and burns too hot, I found an LX8 works perfect! Just an FYI
I think I saw one of your videos where you said what wax you use but I can't find it or remember. So what wax do you use when shipping candles? Also, what wax do you use for wax melts?
Currently have 4 candles i just poured for testing 4 different eco wicks in coco apricot creme wax and i wasnt sure how to go about the testing and thanks to this video I have a better idea of how to do it ❤ how long do you think I should wait before testing them?
As far as I know I don’t think coco apricot creek wax needs a long cure time (I haven’t had personal experience though) I would check the FB group diy candle making beginner to advanced and search the wax and see how long people wait to burn ☺️
@@MemoryBoxCandleCo i checked ! A lot of people had great ht after just 24 hours and typical cure time was only 3-5 days and honestly I only waited 24 hours before lighting my candles and wow I love this wax ! Even my lightest CT candle blew my mind with the HT it was raspberry jam scented
It would be really hard (if not impossible) to make one at a time. It’s a tiny amount of wax and FO. I make at least 6 at a time (that’s the lowest I would make at a time!) I feel like the wax wouldn’t stay hot enough for long enough to mix everything properly if there was only like 10 g of wax to heat up 😬
Hi love I purchased a lot of 1 oz bottles prior to realizing there was a formula haha what formula would you recommend for wax melts? I am doing clamshells so I want to follow your formula but I don’t have enough FO. Is there a way to figure out how much wax to use with 1 oz of fo? Thank you in advance 🙏🏻 You really inspire me
I did for 4 clamshells/1 oz FO 75g/110%=68 g 75-68=7 g (FO weight) 68g x 4(shells)= 272 g (wax) 7g (fo) x 4(shells)= 28g (fo) 😅 math and I are not bffs so I hope this is right.
