I love your beautiful reaction sweet lady Merle Haggard dedicated his whole album to Elvis that year 1978 and Merle Haggard didn't need the fame he is one of the all-time greats in country music it was just his love for Elvis thank you so much again
Michelle, I have heard Merle sing this before, this is the greatest tribute to Elvis, Merle is my second artist after Elvis, he has written many songs 🎵 and a great entertainer in his own right. I love this song in honor of Elvis, better than any other!! Michelle you made my day, thanks again!! 😊 You are appreciated more than you know !! RIP ELVIS AND MERLE, 😢 SINGING IN THE HEAVENLY CHOIR.💔🤗🙏👑🌟⚡🇺🇸
That's a lovely song thanks Michelle, I've heard of Merle Haggard. Nice country singer, I used to be a big country fan, I don't listen as much thought these days. And of course Elvis could sing country, well he could sing anything.
That was a killer! The line about his mom was when I couldn’t hold it back anymore. I’ve heard many tributes to Elvis but never heard that one. 😢😢🕺🏻🕺🏻🎸❤️👏👏
Lovely Song Thankyou 😊 Yes Elvis always kept his Faith and was very religious and I've also found it uncanny that Elvis died so near to his Mother,s date too which was referenced here 😥💔
Top Tribute, i like it! The complete Elvis-Tribute-Album "My Farewell to Elvis" was released in 1977 and reached Number 6 on the US-Country-Chart. It's a nice Tribute-Album for sure...
He made it hes talented I found your channel by another elvis group love your videos and your passion for elvis I think it's great ,ur videos are great
Oh Michelle, those lyrics I just can't stop crying. From 35/77 in the words of a song, and what a tribute to the greatest humanitarian and entertainer who ever graced the earth. Yes you Elvis, this country gent and so many others like him have, have penned your life and your life's values in song, such was the imprint made in their hearts and left in their minds, just too deep to ever be erased or forgotten. Jesus did take you home Elvis, He saw you getting weary and knew you needed rest, he put his arms around you and held you to his chest. Although many hearts were broken the day the angels came, they freed you from your worries your sadness and your pain. They took your hand and led you home , to see your mamma once again. No more yearning to hear her voice or to hold her loving hand, you were once again together in that far off promised land. You felt her warmth, touched her face and saw her loving eyes, she'd felt your pain , seen your fear and even heard your cries , but rest assured she held your heart as true love never dies. Your pain and suffering over, your heart so calm and light, your burdens had been lifted and no more would you dread the night. To Know that you are resting in your mansion in the sky, makes me often stop to think and ask the reasons why. . Why did you to leave this earth so soon and make us all so sad, then I'm reminded of all you gave and for that im truely glad. Thankyou Elvis, you're so missed and thankyou Michelle oh my gosh, what a man what a legacy, tears of joy tears of sadness, but most of all tears of gladness.
Merle Haggard always had a smooth voice. When he was young, he served time in San Quentin prison. He was there when Johnny Cash went and played for the prisoners there. I think he got out by being pardoned. Then began his great music career and became one of the greats in country music. He was given the Kennedy Award a number of years ago. It was an odd picture, to me, to see him being honored while sitting next to the president and other stars. There's a few videos of Merle doing great impersonations of a handful of other country singers in their presence. Like Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins.. Merle ironically passed on his own birthday a few years ago. I think I read/heard that his sister predicted that he would.. When I was in high school in 2008, I had an English teacher named Mrs. Haggard. I convinced my friend to jokingly ask her if her Dad's name was "Merle." She said no, but her husband was supposed to be related to him.. This was in Oklahoma. Merle's parents were from Oklahoma, but moved to California during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl that happened here. He also had a famous song called "Okie from Muskogee," which is a town not too far from me. So I don't doubt that her husband was related to Merle.
Merle is a great artist and I really like that song. Not overstated and captures Elvis essence quite nicely.Great video and a nice way to show the artist who paid tributes to Elvis ! !.
Beautiful tribute song...I did not realize there were so many tribute songs for Elvis. I love hearing them all and I make sure my Kleenex is close by.. 🤧 thank you Michelle...stay safe everyone.🌻
A beautiful tribute to Elvis some great words in it strange not to see you mouthing the words cause you know most of them thank you Michelle have a great weekend xx
Awww, I love The Hag! Big City is one of my all-time favorite songs. This was a lovely tribute! He did a couple of tribute albums to Elvis and some other artists as well, but I haven't listened to them, so this was great to see. I love that you do these tribute videos! It's so refreshing to see the love from artist to artist.
Hi Michelle, Another great tribute song. Can't help but get emotional listening to it. Yes I can hear Elvis singing 🎶 this. Thank you Michelle, have a great weekend xxx 💝
I love the t-shirt pet as well, I think I'll treat myself to one of your hubby's Elvis t-shirt. I did have a look and so many designs!!! Which is great because I didn't know of anyone doing Elvis t-shirts in UK.

Michelle, I just finished reading June Juanico's book about her and young Elvis. She does not dis Elvis. She really gives you the sense of what he was like when he was young. It is by far the best Elvis book I have read..could not put it down.
Great that you have done this!... I actually have the original album, other tracks sung by Merle are In the Ghetto, Love me Tender, Are you lonesome Tonight. On the back of the album is a tribute from Glen Hardin, in part he says ' It's been my privilege to sit on the piano bench and watch some of the best of the our generation at work. I've spent a lot of time working with both Merle and Elvis, and I can tell you that it's fascinating to observe people with exceptional talent who are original and innovative, and are never completely satisfied with their work'...... really looking forward to hearing more of the other tribute songs. Thanks Michelle... xx
Oh❤️ Merle Haggard❤️, SO great!! Cool, funny too (doing imitations) and he also sang with so much emotion. That he loved Elvis tells us one more time who Elvis is and also says a lot about MH. For those who don't know please watch his live version of Long Black Limousine on youtube. It will blow you away❤️. There is also a youtube channel that covers Elvis and Merle Haggard. Thank you, Michelle, this is great, as anything you so lovingly do here 👍😊
Hey Michelle hope your doing good. This is a new one to me and I liked it. The first Elvis tribute song I ever heard was I remember Elvis Presley by Danny Mirror, my all time favorite is a song called Cry Like Memphis by Tamara Walker and it has just the best video to go with it it's so emotional. If you have never heard it give it a spin you will love it. I would so love to see you do a reaction to it as you would be the perfect person to give this song the justice it deserves... Cheers to you Michelle keep well Xx
