India - or at least their government - is because of Sikh-Hindu relations. Canada has more Sikhs than anybody else outside of South Asia and a vocal portion of those call for Punjab to separate from India and become "Khalistan." Where the politics really get ugly is when India allegedly had a Sikh activist killed in a gurdwara, so Trudeau had a few Indian diplomats expelled and Modi retaliated person for person while denying up and down that he or his government had anything to do with it.
