By far, best slip cover tutorial I’ve come across. Thank you for explaining how to line up seams and how to pin sections. My covers came out so stinking cute that my husband likes them better than the original stools!
Watched loads of videos on how to make a slip cover and almost gave up until I found your great video, I want to make slip covers for dining chairs and will adapt to do so. Thank you
Very well explained. I'm here thinking about something that would keep me occupied during the quarantine time. I hope it works for me because I would learn sewing.
Loved your video...I have been sewing slipcovers and home projects for a long time and still have learned from your video so much!! Cross my fingers my project will look as beautiful as yours! You are always learning from others in life, even the very young!!
Lisa, you could sell your patterns for your slipcovers for the Ikea furniture. The Strandmon chair is very popular and has no slipcover. Just an idea for your business ☺
I absolutely will, but we don’t have the stools yet so it will be a while. (Closing on our new house today!). I saw you got a much deserved mention over on IG yesterday. I’ll be following along! :).
Hi Lisa, Yes. I am playing catch-up on your vids! LOL When you get a chance, can you possibly do a "measuring" for making slip covers vid? I.e. explain how much you add to the actual measurement to determine how much fabric a project will require etc.?
Hi Lisa, I've enjoyed so many of your videos. I've prepared my dropcloths and am about to slipcover a love seat. I've done piping on a few other projects. After washing my dropcloths and dealing with the raveling strings, I'm worried because I don't have a serger. I've never used one either. Should I buy one before I start this project. Don't really want to make this investment, but I don't want my efforts to be in vain either. Please advise.
Lisa, have you ever made a slip cover for a sectional couch before? If you have could you do a tutorial on that? I am redoing my decor to farmhouse style and I don;t want to purchase new furniture, just work with what I have. What are your thoughts on IKEA's slip covers?
No, I haven't for a sectional, just a regular couch. I used the same process as I did here: ua-cam.com/video/YPL8Uf0EBPI/v-deo.html I've heard good things about the ikea slipcovers! :)
I followed this slip cover tutorial step by step and my cover came out great! Thank you so much for creating this video.
So glad to hear that....it is a very classic look!
Thank you for taking the time to create this instructional video.

hi, so I have a dinning room chair I want to cover, how many inches bigger should I cut the pattern for fitting and sewing, thanks?
Love your DIY videos. What serger do you have or recommend? thanks.

Great video! Do you find the bottom piece slipping or moving around much when used?
I actually slipcovered these fr a friend, but she has mentioned that happening.
Thanks! I actually added a couple ties in the front to tie around the front two legs of the chair. Worked like a charm!
Love to stop bye
