Sarah, another great video!! I have covid at the same time as my dad had a small stroke and my mom needs caring for. Watching your videos has been very comforting. Thank you for sharing your gifts. I can't wait til I feel well enough to get stitching again! ❤❤
I loved seeing how other people interpreted your design in such a variety of ways Sarah. So much creativity and talent out there! I hope that perhaps you might do more videos like this, as I thoroughly enjoyed it. :)
Hi Sarah, thank you so much for including my dragonfly in this collection and hearing your complimentary comments. I loved making him and he will be used in my embroidery book for 2023 which I'm currently working my way through. This dragonfly has inspired me to have a go at other stumpwork Thank you once again.
CONGRATULATIONS, STITCHERS! Your dragonflies are MAGNIFICENT!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sarah, thank you for sharing everyone's work and for your wonderful comments on each piece! 💖 I look forward to seeing the other stumpwork projects in a future video. 😀
Always nice to see you, Sarah. Amazingly well done everyone, so creative and beautiful!! Such fun to see everyone's dragonflies. Thank you, Sarah, for all your lessons in the various techniques. Take care, and happy stitching.
Bravo to everyone who made dragonflies! Each beautiful in their individual creativity. I also like the hoop treatment on Linda’s-the rope and leaves trim beautifully finishes your piece. Lovely ribbon work Sophie! ❤
These are all so beautiful. I’ve now put together my new kit for stumpwork and Goldwork but I’m determined that this will be the year one project will be finished before I start another…that’s the plan anyway. I’m currently working on a quilt for granddaughter no 1, a ribbon work embroidery piece for granddaughter no 2 and lots of little amigurumi toys for their Easter baskets. So much for finish one thing at a time😂 Anyway that wee dragonfly is next on my list. 😀
Working on something different, embroidery on painting canvases. I think adding a bit of stump work would be great. My next project is making a working cuckoo clock on canvas. I think a stumpwork bird would be hilarious. I’ll have to do some research before I add the bird! Loved the dragonflies, all so different. Great video.
Lovely seeing all the dragonflies and the variations of them. Haven't managed to have a go yet but hoping to soon. Made dragonflies with beads but haven't tried this. Thank you for all of your videos, fairly new to watching them 🙂
Thanks everyone. I love taking progess photos and ones at different angles when finished - my version of journaling. It was the perfect way to get a taste of stumpwork, so another big thank you to Sarah too!
Dear Saraha, thank you for your videos! Being a keen but self-taught stitcher I enjoy every second of it and every tiny bit of info you give. Samplers definitely turned out to be much more interesting theme after your video! May I ask if you are considering an idea to make a video about (1) narrative embroidery and (2) codes and cyphers in embroidery? These are my favourite themes I incorporate in all my works, but, well, it turns out every time that you know so much more, so I hope someday, probably, there will be a video about these, too. Thank you!
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery omg, I commented a wrong video! It was a comment to go under the sampler one. Excuse me my mistake. Well, by narrative embroidery I mean an embroidery telling a story that is obvious even to an idle eye. like the Battle of Prestonpans tapestry, or the Bayeux tapestry, that are kind of documenting historical events. Could it be of interest if I showed you one of mine, documenting full 2021 month by month, as an example? Every month I stitched a large picture depicting something that was happening at home or around, and several small ones depicting the main events in the world, so now it is a full narrative of my family's life in 2021.
That was really lovely Sarah, seeing everyone's work like that, and to have you talk us through them all as well made it even more special!. Everybody has done so well, and I was particularly impressed by all the different interpretations of the design which were just amazing!. I was totally thrilled to bits with your kind comments about mine too, thank you so much, but it's all down to you you know!! x

The leaves trim was beautiful, I didn't get this picture until after we made the video which is the only reason I didn't comment on it!

Those are very specific themes autumnflav! I think all embroideries tell a story don't you?

I’ve not finished mine yet. I’m still doing the background which is embroidery and ribbon embroidery. I’ve done the wings though 😊
Would love to see it when you have finished Carol!
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery i inboxed it to you last week
Hey Sarah, I’ve been using your needlepoint tutorials and was wondering if you will be making one on doing a curve line. Thanks
What do you do with your embroidery?
