As a garden presenter and as a gardener Alan Titchmarsh takes a lot of beating. My Dad (born 1927)had a book about plant propagating by Mr Titchmarsh. Dad died more than 10 years ago and AT is still going strong. Hope he's like an oak....
An institution and a national treasure that Mr. Alan T is! I love everything about him. This video was an absolute treat and I find myself coming back to it often. Thanks for sharing it!
I just love seeing the love of gardening that Alan Titshmarsh is showing us. And throu the years he has not changed.. he stayed on the ground in his sometimes funny, silly, heart warming way. Thank you for all the years of bringing gardening in our livingrooms. I hope there will be many more shows and years. ❤
As an Englishman living in Spain for twenty years, this wonderful celebration of Alan's 50 years of gardening passion, has transported me back home. I have visited many of these beautiful gardens, and being reminded of those years of visiting them has been a delight. Thank you so much for your calm yet ever enthusiastic presence, in presenting gardens, your knowledge and their beauty.
Griff Jones is such an endearing character. I would love to walk with him around his garden and stop for refreshments. I am not British so I had to google this man. I am 2 months older than he is.
What a wonderful way for me to spend a Saturday. You have always been an inspiration and I absolutely adore you and your 50 Shades of Green. Thank you so much. We are so lucky to have someone like you on this planet.
How good to see dear old Alan Titchmarsh is still in excellent form... I've been a devoted BBC Gardeners World fan for decades, and he and Monty Don personify the calmness a lovely garden brings to the soul. And how fun to see Mary Berry pop up with a trug and Barbour and pink nail polish to scrape away at a new potato!
My favorite was his own garden.. How our own individual dreams of what we desire in imagination .. can become true, if you work at it .. Bravo great video ❤
Never cross in mind that Wimbledon has the best lawn in the world - but then everything becomes clear. And when Alan opened the fence scene for #1 garden, I thought to myself " ... is My garden." Beautiful! Wonderful nature - amazing video! I held my tear for all those. Best regard from Indonesia. 🙂
Keeping the best for the end , as usually tv legend presenters found their retirement in a luxury modern city apartment, but quiet opposite in Alan case ,he just astonished us with his number one favourite spot and the outcome of his legacy garden . Well done, Alan , I am sure one day my grandchildren will be visiting your garden as part of the English Historic Garden tour. Greetings from a Jordanian fan who was inspired by your entertaining garden shows on British TV. ❤
Lovely video by this wonderful presenter! Its fantastic to feel the love for gardening coming through the camera like this. I always admired Alan Titchmark, and this video sure doesn't disappoint me either. 🤗👌🌻
Only watching such tips it feels like our hearts blooming indeed, to this point, only gardening is our salvation from running out of oxygen, the Covid global disaster should be a warning, the only solution to neutralize pollution are vegetals, they all look so good, let's encourage everybody get involved
A lazy susan would be helpful for both you and your viewers. You can rotate your container with ease which helps in balancing your design. This is a gorgeous arrangement and so realistic. The casual placement of flowers looks as if they were freshly picked and simply placed in a vase.
The garden I loved the most is yours Alan 😊 Thank you for sharing your heart and soul with us expressed through your garden. We are ever so blessed by your years of teaching, encouraging, inspiration and shear excitement to plant our own little patches of green heaven. Thank you ❤
Always love watching gardening shows. As a Canadian I am amazed what can be grown in UK and Ireland (have visited both countries & hope to get back sometime). Have followed Allan on many shows over the years .. Love Your Garden one of my favourites. So talented and creative. Wish Cdn TV would pick up more of these shows but have to rely on UA-cam which blocks many ITV programs. sigh ..
Za Lidiju i Alana čaša vina uz njihove specijalitete, Bog vas blagoslovio, zdravlje i sreću dao Vama i Vaoj FAMILIJI, AMIN BOŽE !!! Pozdrav 😮 Iz iz Srbije daleke zemlje sa Balkana.
Ooooohhhhh My DEAR HOLY HEAVENLY FATHER GOD 🙏💗, I HAVE WORKED IN SURINAME AT A BIG GARDEN IN A BEAUTIFUL RESORT ⛵ CALLED. JACANA . I WAS FULL OF ENERGY AND I STAYED UP FOR SUCH LONG LONG HOURS TO FINISH THE JOB I INTENDED TO GAVE MYSELF A LIMIT. AND AFTER 12 YEARS WHEN I GOT BACK TO THAT PLACE TO SELL SOM JEWELRIES FROM COLOMBIA, I WAS SOOOOO TOUCHED. I ASKED SOME PLANTS IF THEY STILL REMEMBER ME..... AND OUT OF NOTTHING SOME LEAVES WERE TREMBLING AND THERE WAS NO WIND..... I CRIED LIKE A CHILD. . I KNOW EXACTLY HOW MR ALAN FELT...... GOD BLESS HIM HUMBLE RESPECTFULLY GREETINGS FROM SURINAME
Thanks Alan for the tour. My favorite featured garden in this video is yours.😍. I wish I had the means of buying a piece of land thatI can dedicate to nature, as my legacy. Very noble indeed!💖
Mr titchmarsh, thanks for showing around the magnificient english Gardens. But the wild two acres of your Personal Number one were the Most beautiful. I own a smaller Garden than yours, only 8500 m2 of old trees with some stinging nettle fields. I shall be intrigued when i have accomplished a Garden resembling yours. I am still in the process of removing the nettles and replacing Them with fitting plants around the pond. Thanks a Lot for all your Lifelong effort and continue many many years. Kath. Zwing
Thanks so much for your beautiful garden tour with your nice tips and explaination. So wonderful to watch until the end. Many good wishes for your success from the small gardener in Thailand.🙏🙏🙏
I have loved this tour of these magnificent gardens…but your garden and especially your wildlife meadow spoke to my heart ❤️ Thank you for sharing your passion 🥰 Jeannette Johnson
This is so charming and wholesome; it's hard not to smile and just share in the joy and delight of the presentation. Thank you so much for these videos! They're especially impactful to improve mood on a cold, rainy day.
Does anyone know the type of evergreen he is using for the tall skinny pyramids flanking the water feature? Loved this whole video but adored his own garden! And I think our gardens should always rank #1 in our book, it is the story of us.
I find Alan constantly inspiring. Thank you for this wonderful programme. We’ve had a long hard winter, with snow from November till a week ago. I’ve lost a quite a few roses, and some trees, I was feeling awful, but now I feel I can get down to some hard work, and start replanting❤ Thank you.
I Love Alan’s videos with his playful (child-like?) joy coming through. I wish i could find somewhere the old Gardeners’ World episodes with him. What was the water solution that he used for the cabbages? I just can’t make it out from his description. (salt?) 12:20
Wonderful programme, thank you! Just one thing though, the Encephalartos woodii isn’t the only one in the world, I accept the creative licence in making the programme but the truth is that whilst it is extinct in the wild, there are about 500 specimens internationally - in South Africa this cycad is in the Kirstenbosch garden and the Durban Botanical Garden - they’re amazing plants and it’s very special that Kew gardens takes such great care of their specimen.
Alan’s garden definitely deserves the number one spot
Wow. What shape he is in for 70. Much more agile than me at 54!
It's a miracle you managed to create such a unique shape of a rose
