A more detailed review of engine options and specifications will be coming when I have more time with the car. This is a first impressions video, please see comment below for engine information 👍
Great video, getting better each time! The digital instrument housing looks cheap and not well integrated, something which seems to afflict the new Superb too. Skoda also need to start covering the door paint on the interior on these higher end models too, bugged me on the Enyaq vrs too for a £50k+ car.
Engine stats: 5 engine choices - including a plug in hybrid with 62 miles range that is not released yet. All will be automatic. 1.5litre mild hybrid - 150bhp - 2 wheel drive. 2.0litre TSI - 200bhp - 4 wheel drive. 2.0litre TDI - 150 bhp - 2 wheel drive - 190 bhp - 4 wheel drive *In this first impressions review I test drove the TDI with 190bhp and 4 wheel drive.
Personally I prefer the "grandad" SE L spec, the recycled materials trim is different and feels good but found the aluminium looked too common and felt a bit less nice under finger
Not sure if you have this info or not. Spoke to my local dealer and they’ve said orders from late Sept and they should have some in the showroom in Dec
You may buy a smaller Karoq or even a Kamiq. There is still a huge demand for ever larger cars and the Kodiaq obviously wants to be competitive in that discipline. Also, most of the decisions are made by Škoda not the whole group. In fact, exactly these engine decisions are actually made at Škoda, even for most other brands in the group. News.
@@Tapot_goo both are too small. This has 4.8m, those are under 4.3m, meaning a small boot. Tiguan has the perfect size but is sold just by VW, which means is more expensive. A boot that has 500-650l is enough for 90% of population, and that requires 4.5m in total length
@@alxdava2004These complaints seem pretty pathetic to me, especially given the width and height have DECREASED while the length has only increased by 61mm or 6.1cm... a pinky finger length..., there's been no complaints about the engines or size from any reviews I've found on UA-cam or online forums. Having test driven the 1.5 petrol Kodiaq after driving a diesel 2.0 Octavia VRS, a 2 ltr petrol Volvo xc90s and a 3ltr diesel BMW x5, I can say the 1.5 petrol in the Kodiaq is perfectly adequate (unless you plan on taking it round the Nürbergring 🙄)
I’ve never received a penny from Skoda or any other car manufacturer for your information! I’m at the launch along with all the other car journalists you’ll read/ see reviews from. I’m not biased just like them after testing them!
@@jonjones6583it is the other way around. Nice and sane people love Škoda for free because it is a great brand. It is the bitter critics who are paid by inferior competitors and by Greta Thunberg. 😂

Great video Amelia. I'm a Skoda fan too. Have recently bought a Fabia SEL DSG.
I've driven a pre facelift years ago it was nice and smooth
I've always been in love with that blue all the way back from the mk1 Fabia vrs se
Great presentation and quality. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Please make a video on the new VW tiguan.
thank you Amelia, short , exact, user friendly review (most of men does not do it well)....surelly, Im yours new subscriber 🙂
Very informative video, thank you

Thank you appreciate that! Totally get what you mean with this. They definitely stand out and could have been better integrated.
Hello Amelia, I wonder are the front seats in sportline trim ventilated?
I believe so! Also has massage seats which worn brilliantly 👍

Looks looong ,think i prefer the looks of my 23 plate sportline 2L TSI rep also said that race blue is stopping? Why ??
Nice video!
They forgot to put 4x4/AWD into the PHEV 272PS model. OUCH!

any chance you got to test out the 2.0 TDI 4x2? is it strong enough when you want to over take?

When is this out in the uk?

Does it provide park assistance
якщо ви сидите на третьому ряду, то на другому місця зовсім не лишається. Третій ряд тут зайвий.
Very stupid choices by VAG in general. 1.5l should be just termic. Those 2.0 diesel and gas should be hybrid. Also Kodiak has become too big

But a Karoq or kamiq if you need smaller ?

If you have a family, into camping or have a trade this vehicle would great.
Pity you are bias to Skoda, but I understand they pay you!
