As a Packers fan I’m heartbroken that the Rodgers era ended with only 1 ring, but it was some of the most exciting football to watch the last 15 years or so…
As a Packers fan I miss this day was watching football with my dad and when I got home partied hard and enjoyed the games I wish I could go back to this day
So crazy. This was my very first NFL game I'd ever been to! As a Lions fan, I can only tip my hat to Aaron Rodgers, I remember he seemed invincible even though I think they only finished 6-10 that year, little did I know that was going to be 0-16 for Detroit! It's so cool seeing this! Donald Driver caught that touchdown and handed it to a little kid sitting two seats down from me and my Dad. There were drunk Packers fans yelling at him for not throwing it at them and they started yelling at the kid, Driver was making sure he hung on to it, even though I was and still am a Lions fan, I was always a fan of his after that! Pretty cool random moment at 17 with my Dad I'll never forget!! Also Kitna's last game ever started for Detroit lol Thank you so much for posting this!!
What I remember the most is the Packers vs Steelers Super Bowl in 2011. I enjoyed every bit of it. My girlfriend at the time called it the Peelers vs Stackers game lol
This is the game where Jon Kitna got heat for not even trying to stop the defender on his last INT. He simply turned his back and started walking towards the sidelines when he could have tried to chase him down. You can even see it in the broadcast if you pause at the 12:00 mark. I remember at the time on NFL Network Marshall Faulk said the Lions should remove the "Captain" patch from his jersey.
A little shoutout to Charles Woodson and how great he was with the Packers with 2 ints at the end of the game. One covering Calvin Johnson, he was one of the best DB's to play the game.
As an NFL fan, Rodgers is, by far, the most talented QB I've ever watched. He's made so many amazing throws and he makes them all look so effortless. As a Lions fan - *#@* Aaron Rodgers with a rusty barbed wire baseball bat.
Quite the game. Rodgers had a great game. Jordy Nelson's first touchdown in his career. Charles Woodson with two INTs,, one a pick-six. Nick Collins with a pick-six in his breakthrough season. And is it me, or when the Lions took the lead that turned out to be their last gasp for the season because not only did they self-destruct after that but they did nothing the rest of the season.
Yup, the game when Rodgers became the greatest “regular season” quarterback of all-time! Nobody better in the regular season! You want to win a regular season game then Rodgers is your guy and this is the game that he proved he’s ready to win in the regular season!!
@ 3:34 when Rodgers hit that TD to Jordy Nelson, I remember saying to my Dad, "yup, at some point we are definitely going to the Superbowl with Rodgers at Quarterback." Only took him two more years. Top bad he couldn't have gotten a couple more.
This Lions team was so devoid of talent minus Calvin Johnson. All those years of poor drafts under the direction of Matt Millen definitely took their toll.
Aaron Rodgers 1st Career GW Drive and 1st Career 4th Quarter CB in a Blowout Win when the 4th Quarter Started the Packers Were up 24-9 and Won 48-25 in a Crazy 4th Quarter with 2 Defensive TD By Charles Woodson and Nick Collins
Lions had the lead in this game at one point but they lose this game in Classic Detroit Lions style by throwing 3 picks including 2 that became a pick 6 no surprise that this was the 2nd of many losses that they had in 2008
He will come along eventually. Go position group by position group and ask yourself which one is better this year compared to 2008. Rodgers had an experienced and talented supporting cast who had just lost in the NFCCG because of Favre the year before.
The good ol days where Rodgers was an aspiring legend to prove wrong all the doubts after taking over for Farve. Unfortunately he became a product of the media and spotlight that makes him look like an egotistical prick for the past few years
7:41 left in the 4th quarter: GB-24 DET-25
End of game: GB-48 DET-25
Gotta love it 😂😂
Lions had the lead until 5:21 😂😂😂
As a Packers fan I’m heartbroken that the Rodgers era ended with only 1 ring, but it was some of the most exciting football to watch the last 15 years or so…
He hasn’t been traded yet…
UPDATE: Never mind
Jordon Love super bowl 65 MVP and gets Traded to the Jets in 2035.
Lots of division titles, yr after, exciting yr. Thanks Aaron. Lay off the mushrooms and isolation retreats. Its just weird.
@@FrankWirth-ij4rq just because you dont like it doesn't make it weird lmao
I am a Packers fan as well
Man, I loved Jones, Jennings, Nelson, and Driver.
Nelson was my favorite
Aaron rodgers had a deadly wr core
Jordy Nelson was awesome IMO as well.
The 2008 Lions making an NFL Throwback video is the last thing I expected but here we are.
Even when the other team is the focus?
You mean Calvin Johnson?
@@QuiltHoncho We are talking specifically about their 2008 champain when they went 0-16
@@cullenoc_3374 yea Calvin Johnson went 0-16 with Detroit his trash ass ain't no hall of famer Calvin never won a playoff game in his career
@@northstarpokeshipper2148 and the 2017 browns followed through haha
As a Detroit native, I’m glad we have postseason talk now, I never would have thought we would ever come back from a season like 2008.

I mean I get it, not his fuckin fault there were 2 interceptions on back to back drives lol. Game was over at that point.
Well, QBs can get injured chasing after interceptions. I think half heartedly going after corners is pretty common.
The game in which Rodgers became HIM 😤
He didn't get notoriety until 2009
The Charles Woodson Game
The 2008 Lions
Bruh
As a Lions fan, thank god he's finally leaving our division lol
Too bad Fields is still in your division 😂

Sorry but he not getting traded 😂
@@Vegeta_215 nobody in the league is scared of that RB. Bear fans have been hilarious the last couple of day with all this cope.

Thanks for the video NFL Throwback! Aaron Rodgers is leaving Green Bay so I’m sure Lions, Vikings, and Bears fans are happy about it.

I would argue that Mahomes is more talented, but it's def up for debate. Ether way, Rodgers is an amazing player.

@3:33 Jordy Nelson 1st Career Receiving TD
Fun fact, that was Jordy Nelson’s first career TD
5:55, underrated play
Jordan love better be 3 in a row for elite quarterbacks

Matt Vasgersian doing NFL. That’s a rarity nowadays!
Prime Rodgers was so different
@ 3:34 when Rodgers hit that TD to Jordy Nelson, I remember saying to my Dad, "yup, at some point we are definitely going to the Superbowl with Rodgers at Quarterback." Only took him two more years. Top bad he couldn't have gotten a couple more.
Mr. Rodgers Hood sign was hilarious 😂
With Aaron Rodgers potentially leaving the NFC North, it opens the door for the Lions and the bears to win the division
Too bad the Vikings will probably win the division
The Lions and Vikings finished ahead of the Pack THIS YEAR
Vikings would finish last if it weren't for the Bears looking like hot garbage
@@MichaelMurphy-kj3xf And the lions barely went farther then the Pack, and get beat pretty badly on thanksgiving day. Vikings got butt fucked.
Showing a game where rodgers persevered ❌
Showing a game where rodgers beat on an 0-16 Lions roster ✅
I don’t know what the hell the NFC North did to be cursed with 2 HOF QBs in their division for almost three decades but damn bro.
This Video Is Absolutely Marvelous NFL Throwback 🏈🏉 Well Done ✅ And Keep Up The Good Work 👍.
This game was like a preview of how the Packers would win the Super Bowl 2 seasons later. All the way down to the Nick Collins pick 6 celebration
I wish that NFL games were back being like this
Rodgers era in Packers started against Lions, ended against the Lions
Imagine Calvin Johnson on this Detroit Lions team coached by Dan Campbell. They would be even more dangerous and deadly on offense.
NFL THROWBACK where do you get these videos/clips
It’s an nfl owned channel so they get them from actual nfl files
This Lions team was so devoid of talent minus Calvin Johnson. All those years of poor drafts under the direction of Matt Millen definitely took their toll.
Green Bay scores 24 points in 3 and a half quarters, then scores 24 more points in 3 and a half minutes!!!!! Insane!!!
Eminem 1999: Detroit, what?
Lions 2008: Detroit winless
The 0-16 lions
Wasn’t Joe Barry the Lions DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR that 2008 season?
Matt Vasgershin (I know I spelled his last name wrong) doing football just seems interesting but I think he is a good play by play for it
Calvin Johnson and Detroit went 0-16 😆
I miss this era of football so much! It not even the same game.. just turn it into flag football
Seems kinda cheap to show highlights featuring the 2008 Detroit Lions lol
You mean the game where Calvin Johnson became Megatron
The Lions went 0-16 that year. Generally beating the Lions isn't saying much.
And Mason Crosby carries on….
