What a cool change of pace! Your fairy village is so neat, it's good to see a lot of it stood up to the weather pretty well. There will always be a few casualties for outdoor creations sadly BUT its a wonderful excuse to make more!!!
I love your fairy village! When I lived in a house I had a huge flat backyard. I always fantasized that I was going to start gathering old wood and rocks and make a little city back there. I was inspired by a neighbor of my great grandmothers who built a 1/12 scale ( I think) in their backyard. The buildings were all closed in but on one side you could see into it through a glass window. That’s what I believe began my love of miniatures. Watching you walk around picking up branches reminded me of it. Such a cool idea to keep adding to it. I think they look interesting with the aging from the last season. Isn’t there an outdoor sealer you could paint on them? Especially the wood pieces? I didn’t get a good look at the fairy swing but I thought it looked natural with the green mold. 😆
🤣 that just made me laugh so hard( natural mold🤣), all the wood is sealed. I used outdoor paint and outdoor sealer. I’m not worried about the wood going bad because it’s all Cedarwood and Cedar does not get moldy, the only thing that did get ruined was the plywood😔But now that I know what can survive I’ll stay away from it 😁 and put more happy bright colors, I have an idea for you, what if you turn a corner in your apartment into a tree maybe just a part of it and make a fairy village on it 😊
You could make the tree on a piece of plywood flat on the wall like the waterfall I have in my craft room and then make something like my fairy houses on the tree or because it’s indoors they can be like little rooms full of magical things
Kara, you are so talented and do wonderful things. Your fairy village is lovely! I saw it when we were at your cabin last June. I remember the evening when we watched the northern lights together which was so special.
@@ilanaleG Hi Ilana 😀 And thank you 😊💗, have you returned home from your vacation? I hope you had a great holiday 🥰 We really enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again 💖 Next year I will be making another video of the fairy village and how much it grew 😬
It was a dream vacation! Like all good things it also ended and we returned home. Now at home, hoping someday to return to your wonderful place.@@karakreations1103
All in all everything held up nicely! Now that was my original intention with my bin of Gnome Garden items, i've been afraid it wouldn't last at all from the weather and the forest animals. You inspire me to just do it. I bet if we lived near we would be great friends. I have never in my 61 years ever had a friend interested in doing these sorts of things. Hubby and I are cabin people (vacation rentals) and I am in my tiny cabin..or Shabin... on our wooded property right now watching your video. How did you attach the steps to the tree? Your firepits look awesome! We opted to use railroad ties, What a pain it was to move them, and i hate to say it but it looks kind of tacky to me but hubby likes then so they stay, Maybe I'll plants hostas around them or something.
YES just do it Myrah 😁 what do you have to lose, I don’t think that your weather is worse than New Brunswick weather 😅 and look how my village fared, we had the fire pits custom made with the name of our cabins on them, which are for rent, this is the first year we open, last two years we have been renovating, mostly me 😬 I had to learn carpentry to fix everything cuz it was hard to find good help and hubby is a computer geek🤦♀️ so not that much help 😅 we’re back home now, ( couldn’t upload from the cabins WiFi is too weak) just saw the aurora borealis and saw your message pop up, made me really happy , I’m like you none of my friends have my interests 😔 that’s why I started my UA-cam channel so I can connect with people who love what I love and have these nice chats 💗
Ooops sorry forgot to answer your question about the stairs, first I cut the branch into slices then I cut the slices into 1/3 and 2/3 I drilled a hole in the smaller piece and then I glued them together and after the glue dried I secured them to my workbench with clamps and used my nail gun to secure them even more and I used a 2 1/2 inch screw to secure them to the tree.
@@karakreations1103 Oh, you got to see it! How wonderful! I hope you got pictures maybe you can attach to a video? Perhaps with that miniature camera you made. 🤣 No I don't think it can be any worse here in southwest Indiana but it gets so humid! I tried to decorate my patio only 1 time in Summer and everything molded. Wow, carpentry. I'm not good with numbers and measurements but I love being the designer and decorator of spaces. My hubby is a very handy man ,not much he won't take on by himself. Exactly why we do everything ourselves.. no good help, and outrageous costs! I'm really glad you started the channel and enjoy the chats! ❤❤
@@mjones5131 oh I got great photos of the aurora borealis😁🥰 I’m heading back to the cabins now 😂 didn’t sleep all night and it’s 5 am now, I’ll try to upload a couple of photos as a premier with the weak WiFi 😅 if it works you can see it later today

Thank you 😊I thought I might as well show something different and you get to meet who’s behind the camera 😁
