It's always funny to see how throughout history when cooking is seen as a labour it is reserved for women but when it is seen as an honour and art suddenly it becomes men's domain. Even now people will share how difficult it is to become the primary chef in high end places as a women.
Accidentally found your reaction video of Mr. Queen and watched it from episode one, now I decided to comment.
I am not a huge fan of K-drama but I love Mr. Queen, the story is so good. Balanced between drama, politic, romance, and comedy. Makes me wants to keep watching until the end. I like Cheoljong a lot, he's a good man. You'll see in time why I say that.
As for the cousin thingy. Yeah, it is kind of weird but not 100% weird because the cousin is not blood related with the queen, he's adpoted. They also become cousin only because they share the same family name, which is Kim. In old times in Korea and China, people who share the same family name considered related because they share the same ancestor even though they are not directly blood related.

I think of this as a gay show. He was a chef then became a woman. At the beginning of the show he likes women. Then they have this logic that because he is in a woman's body he will start having feelings for this guy out of nowhere. And since they kissed i think of it as a guy who was reincarnated in a womans body liking another guy even though i thought he was straight kissing another guy, so this is gay. Other people might not see it like that, but i do.

They are cousins but they are not blood related. For example it's you blood related aunt's husbands brothers son...does that make sense? So like you are not related to that son.
