Hi...Do the crashbars hit your shins when sitting on the bike? They seem to stick out in that area much more than the OEM bars do. Enjoying your video's, very helpful.
@@ABIKETHING Just use a swatch and get as close as you can, I'm sure any KTM owner wouldn't mind one bit if there was a very subtle colour difference between orange on their KTM bike and the orange on the crash bars. I bet they'd sell like hot cakes as we say up North. 👍
The factory bars are terrible. Speaking from experience I am looking at a $4000 repair bill on my 2022 1290 SAR. All of this damage was done by the factory crash bars themselves. The left crash bar slid down on a low speed impact which caused it not to be braced, it then buckled and the other end up the crash bar pushed up into the skid plate forcing it into both the left tank and the left radiator (damaging both). Lastly the crash bar itself also pushed up against the bodywork and broke several mounting tabs off of some of the most expensive bodywork on the bike. Having owned a 1090 that was down hard on both sides at triple the speed more than once and never suffering more than a broken lever or mirror this was incredibly disappointing.
You know if these bars are compatible with the touratech upper crash bars?

Why not get a few sets of the SW Motech crash bars which you have in stock, powder coated orange.
Good idea but no one knows the official KTM colour code.

In the UK we have to wait 6 months for anything KTM related, even from 3rd parties :-/
So, the question is - why selling the KTM so soon..???
To make way for next adventure bike to demonstrate the ezcan on. I only really ride when doing road trips and the GS is still my go to bike.
