As a peruvian i can confirm this is the reality of the majority of people who had small businesses and the money they made in a day was what they spent in a meal. Our country and the whole world really, is truly struggling with people who do everything they can to sustain themselves and far too privileged people who couldn't care less about safety measures
I have recently lost seversl relatives to the pandemic in Peru. It's real and people don't understand how poor people are over there to begin with. To buy anything youbhave to think several times if it will take away from a meal. Very sad what is happening around the world.
That is what I would expect. It must be very bad for the poor. I live in Lima Peru. I don't believe anyone is actually starving. We are lucky. In fact fruits and vegetables have become very inexpensive because even a virus doesn't stop plants or farmers. Farmers always eat well but they are selling their products for very low prices. This video is a little misleading. As in India many people are always living on the edge. But here in Peru there is plenty of food. But not much else!!!!
