Whisky was a sweet, beautiful, and smart mini Schnauzer. I love rewatching her videos, even though it makes me feel sad that she isn't physically here. You still have her in your heart.
Yes, she was one very special dog, the one who inspired me to adopt another two! 😊. Besides being smart, she was a very good dog too, really, really faultless. I still think of her everyday, and although the heartache remains, there are the lovely memories to comfort me as well. I'm really glad that I have these videos to remember her by, & I'm so grateful to you for watching these memories that are so precious to me. Thank you so much, my dear friend. I send you & Jubel my warmest wishes of love. 💗💗💗
my mini schnauzer doesn't do any tricks...but she is the most lovable in the world. LOVE WHISKEY ... any pet owner is blessed to have a Mini Schnauzer!
Thank you for your kind compliment. I'm very happy to know that you are enjoying the love & companionship of this awesome breed. Best wishes to you & warm hugs to Nilly 💗
Awesome! You've done lots of work and Whiskey loves to earn treats! My Mini will sit, say his prayers, go where I point, jump over my arm or legs, do figure eights and dance, but his roll over needs lots of work! And he loves to play so usually interrupts training sessions for play a little bit. After playing outside, he is a better listener and more likely to absorb his training. Incredibly smart animals.
Schnauzers are so incredibly smart!!! These tricks are amazing way to go. I’m working on teaching my dog many of these. We’ve got some of them down but still working on many of them. It’s just fun and such a fun bonding experience!!!! Again, thank you for the fun video!💗🐾
I'm very happy for you & your dog that both of you are having a great time with tricks. As I recall the joy & fun I shared with Whisky, it makes me smile to think of how the both of you must be feeling. Thank you for watching this!
I have a male schnauzer name Baci, he is 3. He will give you his paw, lay down and he is learning to be standing on his back legs (he puts his front legs in my arm for support but a few times he has stand on his own). He loves to go on walks and chase squirrels. Schnauzers give so much love and when they are ready to play they are very energetic and smart. 🐾💖🐶. Thank you for sharing this video with all those tricks your Schnauzer did 💖
I absolutely love schnauzers and agree with every word you said about them. I'm so happy for you that you are experiencing the great company of Baci. No doubt, you are both going to have many wonderful & loving years together. 💗
Your mini is wonderful. My mini Tucker who we lost in September could solve puzzles. Treat under a coffee can no issue. Taking the lid off the inverted can also not a problem . The thing that blew our minds was putting the treat in the covered can and putting that upside down completely inside a inverted goldfish bowl. We didn't train him his natural intelligence was so wonderful to witness. One thing I'm trying to get a read on was how self aware dogs are. My remaining mini watches TV. He doesn't react to dinosaurs, but horses and even Scooby-Doo elicits a reaction. I've shown him videos on a large screen of himself barking excitedly chasing a ball. He does not react, as if he's watching a boring home movie! Thoughts?
Thank you for complimenting Whisky, my eldest mini. She left me 3 yrs ago at the age of 15. We continue to miss her very much. I'm sorry for your loss of Tucker. He sounds like an exceptionally intelligent dog, even for a mini! Being able to the stuff you mentioned really puts him in a special league. You're really blessed to experience such a special companion. I have read articles that suggest dogs do not have self- awareness. My own observations seemed to confirm this. Once, Whisky walked straight into a standing mirror. She stared at her own image & was startled. She then proceeded to check behind the standing mirror, her action seemingly suggested that she thought there was another doggy behind the mirror! My youngest Homer, also displayed similar reaction, whereas Shadow reacted much like Tucker watching himself on TV, no reaction! 😁 Thanks for sharing your interesting stories about Tucker. We are blessed to share our lives with these wonderful companions.😊
You're spot on in your observation. Whisky loved it so much when it's trick time. To her, it was just fun time. Thank you so much for watching & for your nice comment.
@kidowmer They always make me smile, and the girls are always glued to the computer screen watching! You are an amazing friend and have given all your fur babies the best home and love ever! Love n Light, Patty
Thank you so much for your generous comment. This mini schnauzer was Whisky. She was adopted at 16 months, & that was when I started teaching her. Considering the fact that I never had a dog before her, & was new to dog training, I thought she was really smart. She learned basic obedience (sit, stay, down) in no time at all.For the tricks too, she learned most of them in an average of 1-2 sessions per trick. Later, when I adopted my other two schnauzers, I realised Whisky was pretty exceptional, as the other two took longer to teach.
Thank you so much. Whisky was easy to teach. She could master a new trick within a session or two. But the boys, Shadow & Homer, took longer, average 4-5 sessions, to learn each trick.
My Schnauzer looks almost exactly like this one. He's only 6 months now, and even though he is not a service dog, he makes me forget my feelings of deep depression & suicidal thoughts. I've only had him since January. My only issue is that he thinks my remote controllers are chew toys.
I'm very happy for you that you are now experiencing the loving companionship of your little friend. Whisky, my eldest (featured in this video) has now left me, but my other two are 12 yrs & 13 yrs old this year. They have given me a lot of love & joy. I am confident you will have many, many more beautiful years ahead with ours, just as I had & am having with mine. As for the remotes, I think they will be safe once your little schnauzer has outgrown his puppyhood. For now, perhaps you could interest him with Kongs or other chew toys.. Take care & God bless!
Congrats on your new companion! I'm sure he is going to give u endless hours of love, joy & laughter. This video is on Whisky, my eldest adopted schnauzer. She has since left me, at a good age of 15 yrs old. She was a super smart girl, & although I adopted her when she was already 16 months old, she was still very easy to teach. She learned her tricks mostly within a session. However, not all Schnauzers learned that fast, as I found out later when I trained Shadow & Homer. These two boys took longer, an average of 3-4 sessions, depending on the complexity of the trick. I hope that helps! Do have fun when you attempt to teach your schnauzer. They are really very cute & intelligent companion dogs.
Pssst - Don't tell my Boston Terrier this, but Mini Schnauzers really are the smartest Dogs ever. I lived with one for 14 years & he was smarter than most people. Boston Terriers are a close # 2 though.
Muy Qué inteligente bello Schnauzer cuídalo mucho., es un amor de mascota ❤❤❤
Gracias por ver!😊❤

We had a schnauzer growing up about 50 years ago. How I loved her! So smart and loyal. I still miss her so much.
Thank you for watching this. I'm happy for you that you have experienced the love & companionship of a schnauzer. They really are a wonderful breed.

she is amazing .. She should be on TV LOVE AUTUMN
hi, this and part II are still my favourites!!! So blessed to be able to watch Whisky live doing her tricks. She's a natural!!!

Thank you, Tracy!
It was my little doggy who made me look good. She was a dog genius, whom I love with all my heart ❤️
Years ago i taught my parents mini schnauzer to both bark and howl on command! Whisky is on some next level though 👍

Awesome 👍🏻. I just hate it that so many people deem it necessary to clip the tail of miniature schnauzers.

He is incredible!!! I could only get mini schnauzer to do 3 basic tricks. He was smart but he was too hyper when I would try to train him.
Thanks! If your schnauzer is greedy, you could use treats to reward him.
10+
Thank you for the compliment!
