You are such an excellent instructor! I'm an experienced quilter and semi- experienced quilting teacher, and I definitely notice that you answer many of the questions students often ask by making no assumptions about your students' equipment, skill level, or learning style. For example it's so valuable that you dont leave out ANY steps. I can just hear a student asking, "do I do this on all 4 squares?" You don't save on time by doing just one, you do them all. You don't assume they have every expensive ruler or can work out what do do if they don't. On the large block, you answer the question "what if my cutting ruler isn't long enough to reach from corner to corner?" by using something else to draw the line, then cutting on the line. In many videos, the teacher simply uses a longer acrylic ruler (the popular but expensive 24-incher would do) or even (this is becoming popular) snaps his/her fingers and the block just magically appears cut as desired! Kudos to you for not doing that.

Hidden Wells is a wonderful simple design that makes fabulous Quilts. Never had anyone say they didn't like one of these. Frequently I cheat and use a striped or border print fabric because it is instant happiness, just need to be careful of the bias cut if you use the quick method. Alison in Sutherland NSW

One of my favorites - I've used these designs on borders as some of them zig-zag around the center. Thank you for this reminder - I used to have her book but ???? where is it?
Another thing to try is making the blocks with a fabric that comes with a lengthwise stripe. Irregular stripes or border prints can be especially effective.
