Agree 100%. Putting terminals on one side is a God send. Running lengths of speaker wire to the other side terminals using the old way is a PITA. Having said that, that Q 10" is very sexy. Also, they're less expensive than the square Q 10. But I prefer the square .
Best of both worlds, my kind of sub. They bang but most importantly SOUND great. Most of these newer huge subs are only in the arena for spl but sound like shit on music which is what the average Joe are using them for. Knowledge is power. Keep on keeping on.
Alpine needs recognition on that same side terminals and the spider layout to make sure it doesn’t effect linearity, they’ve been doing this for 20+ years now ;) although I’m really digging that webbing on their spiders. But about time you bring some Alpine to the channel bro, well ya know if it ain’t gona hurt Kickers feelz 😅😂🤑 props on the recognition/product Kicker is blessing you with, you deserve it man and glad shit is working out 🦾🤖🔊

Just ordered two of these yesterday and replacing a single ct sounds strato 10 with them. I'm having to use a prefab box for now because of funds. After buying the head unit, amps, door speakers and all the wiring I went through my mad money.
I back up your word on their performance. Kicker has the word on longevity covered already but I like how you keep it real. Everyone listen to MBEnclosure when he say you giving up space. With these subs the space for bass trade is well worth it

that backplate, basket, and even the height of the surround and shape of the diaphragm reminds me of the mtx 9500 thunderer series.

I’ve got the 15 inch hooked up to a 500watt incriminatory audio amp and it bangs in the expedition. Lots of sound deadening was used.

Great video MB, I have a transmission line enclosure on a single 8 sub and my pole piece vent is a little too close to the port wall for my liking but it sounds awesome! If I invert my sub will it hurt my out put? I know it would change the tuning of my box by taking the sub out the port but I don't know if the tuning goes up or down, or if I put a 1/4 inch riser would it keep the same tuning? This is my first tline enclosure and I don't know too much about tline and horn enclosures so I thought I would ask 1 of the best at it! PEACE!

It's very similar to Alpine type R gen 2, i personally have always use both brands and I honestly can't favorite one over another . That Q class is nice

I love how KICKER unlike alot of companies care about the aesthetics. To many speakers are cookie cutter and obviously coming from the same build houses. Yes, some speakers go in a trunk and are not seen. But KICKER makles a speaker your WANT to show off. That you WANT people to ask about. i installed two in the back of a Nissan Rogue and the Customer WANTED the speakers to be visible. And wanted a custom enclosure that will highlight their Unique look. Much love for CUSTOM DESIGNED speakers that make CUSTOM enclosures look just as amazing as they are functional.

@@coopermeredith6682 the acoustics in them are excellent! If you can skin those doors while your at it. They do allow alot of road noise. But other then that. Only other car I like sound wise for upgrading a system is the Ford Edge
I think kicker should also enter into the 3in and 4in midrange game, q class amplifiers with dsp are good and I would like to do custom 3 way featuring kicker
@MBenclosures good video bro. Question, I'm not new to car audio and understand the important things first. With any sub in general can you compare a 750rms sub to a 3,500rms sub? I do understand that the box is everything. Along with power and electrical.

@MBEnclosures I'm looking for the best 10in subs for a sealed enclosure dual voice coil 4ohm. I still don't understand the difference between a subwoofer like a Skar and something like the Hertz millie pro. Big difference in price. Is there a difference in performance? What do you recommend.
Question.. I was told to never set a woofer cone down it damages the woofer??
I've made a few observations the sundown zv5 15 has a smaller cut-out than the Sa and U series also the u series has the same power rating as the x series without having the mega role so more cone area and higher sensitivity this makes me wonder the purpose of the x series on up still 3 inch voice coils
The X series have a slightly lower FS and a "allow up to 4" p-p travel before mechanical bottom" so you can tune lower and technically get better low end frequency performance. I have never owned the X series, but I used to run 4 U series 12's and I was doing hair tricks and hitting down to 26Hz pretty good. The higher end Sundown woofers are supposed to handle more power.
The angle ribs actually make them longer, which probably helps

I've had kicker subs over the years and they are in my top 3 companies for subwoofers. Kicker, JL audio, and Digital Design. Going to see how the B2 audio riot 10s fit in

Kicker had always comes through with relevant,tech for their subs. Then it slowly gets copied by other companies,and people will still say kickers aren't good performing subs and amps 🤔 having no experience with kicker at all.

Just because they are rated at 750rms don't mean they can't take alot of power or put up some 140s plus db on the meter.... that box power electrical and tuning is everything.....

understood…. But you also realize that size of motor means nothing really. NEO motors are far lighter, far smaller, yet far stronger than their ferrite counterparts. Not saying this is a NEO motor at play here, but big motors mean nothing really.
