- In today's video I am coloring these cute bugs and trying a new medium for the gold dust in the background. I used my Prismacolor pencils over an Arteza marker base. I have listed the colors and supplies below. Thanks for watching!

~Your choice of blender or blending solution (I used both Gamsol and Caran d'Ache blender)

Bumblebee Yellow
Electric Plum
Orchid Purple
Arctic Blue
Lime Green
~Gold Metallic Uniball gel pen
~White extra fine point Posca
~Liquitex Black Acrylic Paint (any black acrylic paint will do as well)
~Cosmic Shimmers Pixie Dust in Rich Gold

Acrylic ink works really well for that type of background. It's fluid and opaque. It lays down well, dries fast and minimal streaks.

Is there any reason why sometimes you use gamsol and other time use the blending pencil ?
Thanks! I actually like the finish better with Gamsol than the blending pencil. And on this page I was trying to compare the two blending methods since, I used the marker base, which was a little bit different than what I normally do. But sometimes there’s really no reason for it, it just depends on what I feel like using at the moment. 😊
