I tried to gather as much information about Charcoal Chineys before making this video, I did not want to just have the same info as all the other videos out there. Secondly, I have another video coming out soon called "Top ten grilling tips", Hopefully you can check that one out and let me know what you think. Third of all, Thanks again Rob, you the man!

    Best video about charcoal chimney starters!
    Before buying my chimney starter I was constantly baby sitting the coals with a hair dryer and a stick to move the coals around. BBQ is almost effortless now.
    Full size starter is indeed best for the majority of users as it's more versatile.
    Big Weber chimney starter is probably the best to recommend like you did. Weber sells their products worldwide, I just bought mine here in Europe for €22. The conical grate this one has does greatly improve the speed at which the top coals start burning. With flat grate starters I was noticing that the bottom charcoals were being wasted until the top part was getting grey.

    Im into 2 different charcoal brickets !!!! I use a propane torch to start and I am amazed at how difficult it is to get this thing going
    I wanted to switch from gas-grill to propane but I'm learning the extra time is making it very difficult ( maybe I need the wood-coals )

    • @grillingwithpitarqui2457
      @grillingwithpitarqui2457  3 роки тому

      Hey, Thank you for ur comment. I suggest purchasing a chimney starter if you are using charcoals, it lights up charcoals so quickly even if you are using briquettes. In my opinion it will beat any torch, it will keep the heat concentrated to all charcoals simultaneously where the tourch only heats up a certain area of all your charcoals. If you never used a charcoal chimney before, trust me, it will change your life on lighting charcoals, its a very simple concept but works wonderfully. Let me know what you decide to do.

      @@grillingwithpitarqui2457 : Yes , that is already with the Chimney Starter !!!!! The 3 / 4 piece of paper didn't do it at all an smokes
      like hell, so I went to the propane burner !!!!!!! I assume the cheap $5 coals at Walmart was an issue but again , It just amazed me how
      I get some coals burning red hot and then Nothing !!!! I now will also use a floor fan for a breeze but the extra time is just a killer

    • @grillingwithpitarqui2457
      @grillingwithpitarqui2457  3 роки тому

      @@ACHVACTAB1 Oh I see, have you checked out the BBQ Dragon Chimney? It is probably the fastest chimney starter out there and will make the coals screaming hot in approx 5 min. The fan can also attach to your grill in case you want red hot coals even after dumping them in.

    Good work man info is good to know ! I agree 100% Full size is a must! I have a smaller one but gotta add coal sometimes, I use lump I do lots of steaks:D

      @grillingwithpitarqui2457  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching the video. The smaller size chimney starter was actually made more for camping so you are not carrying a giant canister. I love that lump natural wood flavor for steaks. Keep grillin'!

      Thanks for commenting, I’ve been changing my mind throughout the years. I used to like one made by Oklahoma joes because it lights up the charcoals quicker and dragon but I figured out that for me, I prefer the Webber full size one. I was not sure when I made the video but I am not. Also for the price compared to the other ones it’s also a better buy.
