I promised I would show how I maintain / detangle these Mermaid Locs but I also wanted to address a topic that has been weighing on me as a black women who is growing in the black hair space on UA-cam. I know completely that I can not control others and everyone will have their opinion about everything under the sun. However I don’t want the small space I’ve created on social media to be another place for the negativity that poisons the world. If you decide to come into this space all that I ask is for respect and to leave negativity out of this space. I respectfully have to state that energy is not welcomed here. So sad. There are a lot of black girls who don't know how to do their hair, or their daughters's hair, and/or can't afford to keep paying to get their hair done. Don't let them get you down. Keep shining and sharing, boo✨️ The real queens see you and appreciate you ❤❤

it’s crazy because I try and do it just to keep the frequency high between us as black women, but it’s starting to seem easier said then done & sometimes enough is enough. I’m starting to realize if it’s not said then they think they can “punk” you on the internet it’s very weird lol. Like you said we are people too! I think its sad when people have so much negativity against someone who is doing their thing. My mom always told me, "When people stop talking, then worry." People are going to talk whether you're doing good or bad. Keep shining like you do, I love your attitude and energy. Always love over here❤❤❤
It really is and your right! Since this video my skin is a bit more tuff due to what I deal with online because I just have to be now. As black ladies we have to be kind and build each other because we have to be strong we don’t have the support long term like ANYONE ELSE. Not many understand WE have things deeper inside that NO ONE ELSE HAVE TO GIVE to this world! Yes our men are now saying we are beautiful we are queens however, however we stand by them supporting loving ect ect but they want us standing behind them and those are the GOOD ONES LOL. Sisters we need to make the choice to be better for each other. It feels AMAZING TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND LOVE THAT PERSON BECAUSE AT THE DND OF DAY THAT OUT THE BLUE HAPPINESS THAT FLOWS THROUGH IS WHAT WE GRAB ONTO WHEN WE GET oLD.
Now this is a word that needs to be said! I agree with you, it’s deeper and unity is need among us in a serious way. When we can make better choices when it comes to how we treat each other it will be so beautiful! Thank you for your input I appreciate you💙💙💙

Hey caryn! I just watched this video and i want to leave some positivity here. I must say i really like you and i love the way you do your hair. I feel alot of people are so ungrateful. I am a very sensitve person and all those comments i read on other peoples accounts really kept me from making a youtube channel. I love doing my own hair but i would never be able to deal with the negativity so i just let it be. I don't have time to feel down and pissed from other peoples negativity. I know we should not let it get to us , but i am not there yet to understand how NOT to let things like that get to me 😅 just let me say i like you and most people do, and ever since you helped me, i watch your videos even more. You are so sweet and explain better than anyone else i have watched ❤️
Thank you so so much, I definitely haven’t mastered it at all. I am also very very very sensitive to people’s energy and it’s not as easy as people say to just not let it get to you. You have days where it’s easier but you literally have to talk yourself out of what you just read. I’ve thought about turning off my comments trust me but then I wouldn’t be able to engage with beautiful people like you. And although the positive out weighs negative the negativity seems to be heavier by default. I say if you want a hair channel create one and turn you comments off and allow yourself to do you I appreciate you and thank you for your kindness💙💙🥰💙💙

Keep going Caryn! Glad you put the block function to good use. 💙Some people don't deserve to be in quality spaces. They genuinely only understand negativity. It seems as if we cant just try haistyles and have fun. Some people want to nitpick everything. It's soul sucking. Proud of you for perservering. I found your channel while intentionally looking for more advanced styles. Each style I've tried from your channel has turned out beautifully, and I've gotten the best compliments on them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Stuff like this is why I gatekeep sometimes lol 😹 Not to hoard info, just to keep people off my back. People will seek free info then get mad when they realize they actually have to work.
You know it’s really so sad to see and experience first hand how negative people can be over something that’s suppose to be fun like trying a new hairstyle. And you’re right it’s soul sucking and draining to constantly have to see it. That block button is going to be getting used around these parts lol.

@@carynprince I used to be a skincare girlie on social media before I deleted my accounts. People would compliment me and then ask me to help them get a decent regimen. I'd tell them DETAILED info only for them to be like. Im just gonna go to walmart and get $2 whatever cream, "thats doing too much." So I literally would waste hours trying to help people. I'd literally recommend quality, affordable options but some may come from korea so they'd have to wait a while. Even that was too much! So sometimes when I'm asked if I dont have the energy Ill literally say like one oil I use and that's it. I love your content and how you come across as truly a girl's girl. The gnats that try to fly around and distract are obnoxious and can literally watch a 60 second short video if yours are "too" whatever for them. Protect your peace at all costs sis💙

And sadly a lot of black women are broken for many reasons and don’t know how to deal with their emotional issues other than tearing others down. No worries.
