Turns out DL and TL were right on the money to be alot more scared of SKT than IG, nicely read.
I really don't like the G2 draft. Sona/Taric is fine but you need a better dps source than Irelia+Olaf+Morgana. You simply lack damage, so what if you have good heals.
Before I watch the game: analysis on champ select
-caps not playing high mechanical champ is flaw
-morgana irelia Olaf is genius strategy but not the best vs skt1
- g2 playing into SKT strengths
-skt champ select still worse than g2
-many strategic mistakes from.g2 but still good chance to win.
Anybody else miss the old skt Team 😢

Watching this from 2020 it's sad. This SKT team had so many good players, stacked roster tbh. They couldn't even make it to worlds this year :/

These commentators spent 8 minutes heaping praise on G2 for strategically giving up their entire base to "slow down" SKT but in reality all it did was take the pressure off of SKT. They could just sit back and take objectives and spread out and slow broil the towers and build a completely insurmountable lead and got next to no praise for it. Literally talked up G2 95% of the game even though they got bodied and dominated.
funny, pretty sure one bad game doesnt decide a best of 5 series.... even funnier they won in the end so...
Not to mention the LOL world spent years kissing SKT's behind even tho they lost their edge recently. Spread the love I guess...

Fucking hell that was bad calling. There is NO REASON to forfeit an entire lane to your opponents before 15 minutes. None. It puts you so far behind and makes any amount of map presence you try to have less impactful. Also, Teddy had a very good Ezreal, and i don't like that.

@@catlord69 I can see it though. Irelia and Olaf for the dive, Taric and Sona for the follow-up and morg root and burst from the back. The team comp very clearly yells to the opponent "Hey, we gonna start the fights, watch out!"
So SKT's response to pick champs that counter teamfights is just wonderful.

@@DemBigOlEyes I liked it. The morgana pick soaked up so much siegeing pressure from SKT - that W clears waves so fast. Taric/Sona/Morg... yes there's pick potential but it's kind of a control comp. Heal up that Ezreal poke, black shield the Lissandra engages. I would have liked to see a Redemption or two on the side of G2, seeing as SKT relied so heavily on those big AOE teamfight abilities (Kennen/J4/Liss) but on paper I really like what G2 was trying to do.

This game is stupid
I haven't watched the game yet but I hope SKT convincingly wins this series (and maybe the tournament). I have high hopes for them since I expect them to learn from their previous games.
Edit: G2 is choking so I expect a 3-0. Now I want to see SKT use Sona Taric again. If G2 weren't so braindead at the start, they might have been able to use that Sona Taric effectively.

@@elec_squirrel1098 I honestly feel if they reset after the team fight instead of going to Baron, they would have beaten G2. They were some K behind in gold and still won their team fight. If they reset, had another team fight then baron to close it out I think SKT would be favored, unless they got a huge pick off of Teddy or something.
