She is my favorite artist because she let the paint do much of the work. The first piece I ever sold was based on her color field work. It is so much harder than it looks. Thank you as always for these wonderful videos.
Thanks, Lady Farmer, she indeed makes wonderful art. I especially like her playful approach and took that as the exercise. Enjoy making your artwork. Albert
Geat session! i especially liked the way You turned the plastic around to find a completely different-and mesmerizing painting; brilliant! i love surprises when i paint. i showed an abstract i had just painted to a friend ... his wife said, "turn it to the right" ... instantly a much more dynamic, colorful painting!!!
This is a wonderful video and you have solved a problem for me with respect to color field painting. Could you maybe do a video on Joan Mitchell's technique? I have tried to figure it out and I can't!.
Thanks, Paula. Now you got me puzzled about what problem I solved... Interesting suggestion, Joan Mitchell, I looked at some artworks of her, and they definitely look interesting. I'll put her on my list. Albert
A second vote for Mitchell! Her painting ‘Hemlock’ fascinates me, and I can’t figure it out. I think part of the magic come from working at large scale.
Thanks, Suzanne. Scale absolutely has an impact. Talking about Joan Mitchell, did you see the video: ua-cam.com/video/8Ifrfe7n2CU/v-deo.htmlsi=J5IxO-U3MqlVqWuw I hope you like it. Albert
Albert, could you do a video about Arthur Dove, please. He was a contemporary of Georgia O’Keeffe and considered one of America’s first abstract painters. Both were in Alfred Steiglitz farm of painters.
Thanks, Lezlee, for your suggestion. I like his work, it reminds me of Georgia O'Keeffe. I'll put him on my list. He has an interesting way of abstracting the landscape. Albert
Making thing , Out of Nothing at All. This sentence has DUAL meaning, find one, as per your interests, similarly as you find shapes shapes in random lines and color blobs.🎨 I see now why ABSTRACT PAINTING has got such a BAD REPUTATION, it is now no longer a train practice, but a quest of EXPERIMENTS, which is open to everyone, who is not necessarily a good ARTIST but an Excellent STORY TELLER, after all that piece needs to be sale.
Thanks, Shahid, Interesting thoughts. I look at it this way. I don't know if you like to paint or just look at art. My videos are for people who like to paint. Once i start to paint in the style of an artist, questions pop-up: how did the artist work what results it observing the artwork closer. When I continue painting I run into trouble: what I make doesn't look like what the artist made. I see it is more difficult as it looks. What leads to appreciating more what the artist made. At the same time, i can make whatever I like. It's all about the learning process. Just fun for any amateur in arts. Have a good day, Albert
I am continually fascinated and inspired by watching you and the participants explore the various techniques. Thank you for sharing Albert. Be well!
Thanks D C, it's fun to do and certainly nice to hear it's appreciated. Albert

Thanks, Don, especially with abstract it can be interesting to look at your painting from different sides. I often paint upside down. Albert
