    Good video, but why doesn’t my ex30 connect to the internet?

      Have you connected it to the EX30 app??

  •  Місяць тому +1

    It is "core" version or "plus"? Thx.

      Plus, core doesn’t have HK audio

    shame no HUD for easier viewing. Checking centre screen regularly seems counter intuitive to road safety. One detail question...when reversing do the side mirrors tilt down automatically so you can see the rear wheels like in other AAOS Volvos?

    • @DavidCatt92
      @DavidCatt92 27 днів тому

      It would be great to have a HUD, but sadly at this moment in time it isn't something on offer. The "exterior mirror tilt when reversing" isn't available I'm afraid.

      @@DavidCatt92 Yes I am aware there will be no HUD in this years EX30 but they really should consider offering it in the future. The side mirrors tilting when reversing should really have been in this years EX30 though, its a very useful feature in other Volvos. Anyways thanks for the response.

    That noise when touching the screen is annoying

      You can switch that off in the settings

    "Heated seats and heated steering wheel do not affect your battery range as they run of the 12V battery". And where do you think the 12V battery charges from in an electric car? It does that from the main battery trough the step down converter.
    So they affect the range of course, just very little because they are low power comparing the main heating.

    • @DavidCatt92
      @DavidCatt92 27 днів тому +1

      Correct, the 12v battery does charge from the power source which of course is the electric motor. The point being made is that, unlike most electric cars where this will affect the overall range, it simply affects the 12v which is always being charged on the move and draws a very minimal amount from the overall battery performance.

      @@DavidCatt92 No it's not charged from the electric motor as this doesn't make sense for EV to put as small 12V generator connected to the main electric motor to charge 12V battery. The electric step down converter is just used to charge 12V battery from the main battery.
      But this doesn't matter at the end: you can't cheat the physics, you can't get energy from nowhere. It doesn't matter where heated steering powered from - it still affects the range as the main battery is the only power source in a BEV, directly or indirectly. It just affects the range unnoticeably just because it consumes very little: the power consumption of heated steering wheel is less than 50W - with usual consumption of EV about 20kWh per 100km heated steering wheel would cost less than 250 _meters_ of the range per hour of heating. And that would be the same doesn't matter which battery it would be connected to. The only reason why it is connected to the 12V battery instead of the main battery is just because it is easer and safer for such low power consumer.

    My boot doesn't open fully and I have to push it open. Charging is problematic as you have to set the charging limit manually each time you AC charge. Touchscreen is fun, sometimes it just goes black and reboots. Internet connection usually doesn't work over 5G, so have a good mobile package. Centre screen is not a problem as I spend more time looking out of the windows. Seems like your car as with mine, the monitoring pod is poorly installed and not mounted level. And software update 1.3 has been pulled from OTA, so obviously a problem there. Overall, a less than optimal Volvo experience.

      It's a shame to hear that you're having all these issues. I would suggest getting it looked at by the local dealership as this isn't the norm for these cars, the one that I may be able to help with is the boot. If you manually set the boot to the height you want, then press and hold the boot close button, it should reset the height settings.

      When you push your boot to the desired height, you can reset it by holding the close boot button. Next time you open it, it should open until that level. Hope that will solve one of the issues that you are experiencing

    The centre screen is a mistake, as it comprises safety. A job for the facelift.

      I thought this but test drove a tesla and one of these and you get use to it in 5mins. Its no different than looking down to the speedo, you just look left.

    Lost a sale simply because there's no spare wheel.
