The reason Muppet Babies was a cartoon and not puppets was because the 'Muppets Take Manhattan' Muppet Babies sequence was one of the most difficult to shoot because of how tiny the puppets were (the puppeteers had to literally stand underneath the floorboards to operate them), so doing a weekly TV series with those puppets wouldn't have been feasible. It was a practical decision rather than an artistic one.

Damon Pollitt also animation is more appealing to kids,most of the time.
The real reason was it was cheaper to animate them then it was to pay a team of puppeteers to produce a weekly show. Animation is one take, where puppets may require multiple takes. 1-3 animators plus 3 or so voice actors is way cheaper.

Regarding Skeeter: the character did appear in Muppet Kids, a series of books published later with the Muppets as grade schoolers. She also turned up in a few of the Muppets comic books and strips.
Re: Beverly Hills Teens: That character (his name was Wilshire, BTW) wasn't Bianca's butler; he was actually a fellow student, rich as everybody else, who was in love with Bianca, to the point where he acted as her chauffer/servant just to be with her.
More Andre and Tamara crossovers are needed. This is hilarious.

I grew up in the 2000s and I remember watching a pup named Scooby doo, CN must have played some really old reruns.

I grew up in the 90's, before Boomerang was even a thing. CN just started out showing nothing but old cartoons. I don't think they even started doing their own original stuff until the mid-late 90's. I just distinctly remember all day being Top Cat, Wacky Races, The Herculoids, Super Friends, and Huckleberry Hound.

I wanna say pup named scooby doo was one of the first shows that cartoon network syndicated for their channel in the early 90's. With Turner buying Hannah Barbera licenses that was I guess one of the more recent shows of the time (actually thought it was more of a 90's show but apparently it was late 80's and finished before it went over to CN)

The highlight of my day just became singing "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" with a Black Nerd.
So a Pup named Scooby Doo was one of my favorite shows growing up, and I have to say that wass one of the most accurate singing of the theme song I have ever heard. Bravo Andre, Bravo

TheSonicNiGHT I think that was a few years ago. While good I think I prefer the original. Her version was a bit too slow.
I think all those great Disney afternoon theme songs, were composed by the same artist.

This was hilarious, Andre is basically a living version of RetroJunk! Also, Tamara had some awesome pitches that someone needs to produce ASAP!
Andre should make some covers of famous cartoon songs. I really enjoyed the Pup named Scooby Doo opening and background music, it even sounded kind of better than the original.

A pup named scooby doo is probably my favorite version of scooby. I actually never heard of Denver until recently and I grew up around that time.

I agree with you about a Pub named Scooby. The original show never had a "Who Done it?" type thing, while Pup had a few people it could be.
I loved that show with all my heart, and there was actually one episode where Red Herring really was the monster! my jaw hit the floor on that one!

Oh my god, that was fantastic. I loved her completely crazy plot synopses that somehow ended up better than the real things, and Andre's cartoon themes just off the dome were killer. Not to mention her pure **joy** at his singing them every time.

Oh, the constant doo-wop. I get it, tho. It was the 80s and most of the animators/writers grew up in the 50s.
And don't forget along with Rick Moranis and John Candy's cartoons there was also LIFE WITH LOUIE(a seriously underrated show!) and (sort of) Bobby's World starring Howie Mandel (comedian and yes it was a great show just like LIFE W. LOUIE).

This video was hilarious! I have seen Andre team up with a lot of people, but the energy and chemistry here was excellent. Some people simply work well together. Great video.
I've seen "Muppet Babies", "A Pup Named Scooby Doo", and I was born in 1989. Damn I feel old.
I might have heard of the "Gummi Bears" and "Small Wonder", but I've never watched it. I don't think that I've ever heard of or watched "Denver the Last Dinosaur", "Kids Incorporated", "Camp Candy", "Chipmunks Go To The Movies", or "Beverly Hills Teens".
I enjoyed when Andre sang the theme songs for "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" and for "Muppet Babies". It brought back memories. I could actually play it in my head. Tamara was fun in this video. I wouldn't mind having her on this channel again in the future.

I'm so much younger than you guys and I knew so much more about Small Wonder than she did lol. I apsolutly love that show! Same with Chipmunks Go to the Movies! I never knew what the title of that little series actually was, so I just guessed and it turned out I was exactly right!

Man, I just loved this episode. You made me remember most of those shows - not all of them because some were not aired here in Brazil. I searched their opening songs, both in English and in Brazilian Portuguese and all the memories returned! Just for fun, here are the names of some of the shows in Brazil, and their meanings in English:
- The Muppet Babies = The Muppet Babies (they used the original name, because the Muppets were also famous here)
- Adventures of the Gummi Bears = Os Ursinhos Gummi (The Little Gummi Bears)
- A pup named Scooby Doo = O Pequeno Scooby Doo (The Little Scooby Doo)
