Love the rawness of these videos. You’re totally right, it gives a better sense of how much work these projects are. Its impressive the amount of work you get done in that tiny garage and workbench.
I like that the video is longer.. you are not afraid to work and you do everything in your garage on the floor without a lift that is strength my friend respect!
Love the passion, real mechanic work. Exactly how it should be. Love the long videos. I can’t wait to get cracking on my E34 this spring. Thanks for the inspiration Joel. Love the channel.
I watched the whole video ever since i got my 323i 2000 sedan i been watching every single thing you have done thank you for helping me on my journey of fabricating my e46 and enjoying my car
Hey what's up Joel, I just started driving delivery and get inspiration from watching your videos and learned a lot too. I appreciate your doordash tips. That's badass you did that swap on your BMW yourself I do all my own car stuff myself also ✌😎🔧
33:50 check your drive roller. It might need more spring tent Jon or a replacement roller. They have different sizes and types for specific wire. Smooth for solid and knurled for flux. Make sure your roller is the right size for your wire diameter.
Watched the whole thing cuz I bought a e46 wagon 2 months ago. Beeeeeen wrenchin on that thing. Front control arm bushings, engine/trans mounts, oil filter housing, coolant leaks, fuel injectors leak fixed, about to replace clutch/flywheel, replacing struts/shocks, needs speakers. Just gonna be a “stanced-ish daily.” Famous last words.
Aye Joel if you feel that the car after you put a few hundred miles on it starts feeling kinda loose in the back then don’t break your head over it my guy cause it’s them trailing arm bushings. I went through that with my E36 so you know… just trying to save you some headache. Love your videos tho. Keep up the amazing work you’re doing man!
Next time you hit the bushings out of the subframe, use 2 hammers, one stacked on the bushing and the other hits the hammer (this way you won't damage your subframe).
Never can go wrong with duplicolor spray cans! I’ve painted entire front ends of cars with that stuff and it’s a perfect match, on more than one occasion LOL 😉
Man, wish I saw this weeks ago as I struggled with installing my reinforcement kit. You had some key notes that I failed to do and that caused me pain,. Good video!
I've been working on cars for a long time and I know those 2min jobs sometimes turning into 45min are a headache so I feel you. Your attitude towards that is so much fun y0 😅 good laughs 😄 I also have a e46 touring and I'm preparing to do that subframe drop / chassis reinforcement job soonish. Good videos bro
god damn! Joel this video was a ton on fun to watch even it was almost an hour long! I get bored watching ”professional” car youtubers but not in this one maybe it’d because it’s just so raw. Great work my friend :)
Watched the entire thing and it inspires me. Kinda wanna get an e36 or e46 after watching your videos, but I wanna get my 3000gt running and driving first, it’s at the shop rn 😩
The long video was good to have as background noise at work lol. Top reinforcement, at least the side plates is worth doing because the chassis up top doesnt connect at all so thr sides tie it in
Enjoyed watching all the way through. I'm also reinforcing the subframe on my e36 right now and I couldn't agree more on those ebrake lines. They were pain to take out plus storing them is annoying cause of how long they are.
Parts shop max has a pair of monoball rtab bushings for $120. Obviously too late but you should def take a look if the time comes in the future. Imma be running them in my e36🤙
Idk if you've already done this in a later video, but there's a cheaper ($30 a piece) way of getting a monoball/spherical bearing. It the "Moog k200786" off a Camry lol. Just gotta drill out the bracket to 14mm. I can send you a link about it.
You definitely should. I just installed condor solid motor mounts on my 95 325is and I already want to upgrade and refresh everything else. It"s like those almost made me feel how worn out everything else is.
I can tell you from personal experience, that Rust-Oleum wax and tar remover is not a prep all wax and grease remover. I sprayed the panel with clear and it fisheyes like a MFer. I was feeling very smart that day. Rust-Oleum MFers. Lol
at the 22:00 ish minute mark. i think it might be so cold where you are the bushings must have shruken a little and thats why they slot in so easily. im in cali and my garagistic rtabs on my e36 need a bj press.

ain't nothing better like finishing school and seeing a Joel notification 🔥

Next time you hit the bushings out of the subframe, use 2 hammers, one stacked on the bushing and the other hits the hammer (this way you won't damage your subframe).

Keep it up man, your content is 🔥. Didn't even feel that long, I was so into it. 🙌🏽
Never can go wrong with duplicolor spray cans! I’ve painted entire front ends of cars with that stuff and it’s a perfect match, on more than one occasion LOL 😉
sand blaster from harbor freight, the kind that does not go in a cabinet would be a great investment for cleaning things like that subframe up.
Having nightwatch and then get a notification from you is the best feeling! Looking forward to see how the car feels and rips!
watched the whole video. was great tutorial because im going to doing same reinforcement and bushing upgrade for my car when its summer
Love these long vids bro! Mad respect for all that work man that’s absolutely insane
Good stuff Joel! Made it to the end. I wouldn't have really known what a subframe is before, now I do. Keep it up
Watched the whole video! Very helpful for my upcoming E90 subframe refresh and for my inevitable return to the E46 world. Keep it real Joel
Man, wish I saw this weeks ago as I struggled with installing my reinforcement kit. You had some key notes that I failed to do and that caused me pain,. Good video!

Made it to the end and it didn't feel that long cause it was actually really enjoyable. Keep it up! 👍🏽👍🏽
Appreciate the work. Removal process of the subframe bushings could’ve been shorter. Show one say doing the same to the rest. Cheers
Hey man, i watched the entire vid. Not even on background, seeing you work, just is so entertaining! Keep up the grind!
I watched the whole joint brah 😎 love seeing other DIY dudes figuring it out real time. Makes me feel like I’m not so alone lol
