- Here is how much I spend in a month at Manipal University as a hostel student. These expenses differ from person to person. Hope it gives you a rough estimate and an idea.
I am from Udupi and have studied in MIT. The best way to travel to Malpe is to take a bus from Manipal Tiger Circle to Udupi CIty Bus Stand -10 Rs. From there catch a bus to Malpe Beach - 15 Rs. The whole travel cost should be under 50 Rs. from Manipal to Malpe and back. Never travel in Cabs and prefer Autos for travel till bus stands only.
Remember the golden rule : Travel like the localites do !
Hey, I know the bus is the cheapest. But due to covid, we avoided crowding.
We did same in 1986 and used to cost 5/-

Crazyyyyy! And you’ll be there for four years even better. The best days and I can’t recommend you any other college. This will be your best engg hostel days
Good info. How far are the girls hostels to academic blocks? also distance between academic blocks, hostels and mess for girls specifically?
It differs from hostel to hostel and department to department. Most of the departments are 15 mins distance.

2 when do you have you end sem exams and mid sem exams happened tentatively
Hey, i don't remember the dates for exams. The Sem started in around October virtually and December Physically.

Hey, Most of the brands are there, right around the campus. Expense in this regard is very subjective.
The amount which is paid, is it for per year??

Yes you can. But only cycles. Bikes, Scooters, cars without managements permission are not allowed

YESS! It's a little too far from the academic block, but the facilities make it worth.

In hostel 21, wash room is common for the single room? Is there any single ac room with attched hostel for NRI students fir Btech course?
There are single as well as shared rooms, with and with out ac and washrooms. You can choose as per your convenience, but it is first come, first serve

The campus wifi is a bit doggy. But is free only for Btech and MBA. I'll recommend using Jio

Yes and No. There are KMC hostels, which are for all life sciences and related courses. Different for Culinary and MIT. under MIT rest of the courses are

Can you say which hostel is best to choose based on the facilities and distance from mit campus?
5th is the closest to the academic block, but it doesn't have AC. The newer blocks are better but far
