I was police for 10 years before I got fed up with it all and resigned in 2005. These types of confrontations with the public would have lasted 30 seconds before smartphones were common. I was police for 10 years before I got fed up with it all and resigned in 2005. These types of confrontations with the public would have lasted 30 seconds before smartphones were common. AB would have been assaulted, arrested and charged with some made up bullshit. I still watch these types of videos to this day and I will never understand why modern bobbies get themselves into these drawn out situations where most of them haven't got a clue about any legislation or how to deal with the public. In this situation, you walk away and leave AB to it. AB is just making them look as stupid and clueless as they obviously are. Plain clothes bobbies and detectives were the stupidest. They spend so little time dealing with normal people on the street they forget how to do it. CID officers were usually the stupidest and most clueless. God help me.
