    How great this is?! Have you thought of a series of occupation collages? Might be fun!
    I had to smile when you weren’t sure what the one woman was holding in the one picture. - you said that, “maybe it’s a film or something?” This is when age comes to the rescue! I’m old enough to know that she’s holding a box of flash bulbs/flash cubes. Back in the day, those were put on a camera to get the best possible photo when taking pics in a darker environment. I can still smell the distinct odor of a “spent” flashbulbs! Memories!
    Love the commissioned college! It’s great your client loves it too!
    Appreciate the video! Enjoy the weekend! ❣️ Kathleen

      I would LOVE to tackle a series of occupations! (I've always wanted to do a city based one too!)
      Maybe I gotta start putting piles together as I find the pieces and they'll slowly emerge.
      I'm so glad you knew what it was! I later remembered I actually have one of these boxes of my grandfathers! I'm sure I will never use it though 😜
      I'm so glad you like the commission.

    Leah "Take Care" is a great message and a brilliant celebration of nurses and what they do and have done fo many years. The contrst of coour and black and white realy worked and focuses the eye to the figures. I like the fact that this piece is a companion piece to the piece of your's that the client alreday owns and loves.Sometimes a comission is about going with your heart when it comes to accepting. But I sense you knew how much the final piece would man to the client and somehow you factored that into the final collage. (matt) P.s I have been subscribed since finding your channel and also cliked the 'all notifications' bell. I get messages on my phone and in my mail when you've posted a new video.

      I'm happy you liked the name. It came to me suddenly while creating and I couldn't shake it! This piece definitely was lead by the heart, maybe the piece is located in the heart 😂 Thanks for getting the notifications!

      @@flanzella Leah I can relate to that, sometimes the title for a piece comes into my head as I'm making it just like that, and is unshakable. (matt)

    Perfect images for this commission! Would you frame this as is, or mat it? If you mat it, what size frame would you use? Sometimes my art pieces are left in a pile due to my indecision on proper framing/matting.

    • @flanzella
      @flanzella  5 місяців тому +1

      Glad you think so! In terms of matting vs no matting, I do think this is a preference thing. I really love matting. I think it accentuates the piece and really let's it speak for itself. That said a lot of people do not agree. This piece is 8x10". Standard matting for this size is 11x14". Personally I'd collect a bunch of vintage frames and then get custom matting to fit all the artwork that match. I think this looks really good!

      @@flanzella Thanks! Yes, I tend to agree that most pieces look better matted but my laziness tends to think, maybe this is ok without a mat... 😄 (I really hate cutting mats!)

      It's definitely not necessary and I think for standard sizes you can buy them easily! Totally up to you 😊

    I have a question, is a canon pixma printer g6022 good for making art prints?

    • @flanzella
      @flanzella  5 місяців тому

      I'm a huge fan of Canon products overall. That said, I'd advise you go into stores and talk to multiple people about what the best printer is, even watch a bunch of YT artist videos on what they use. I have seen other artists use this for their prints. I think its good for smaller quantities of prints as I hear the ink is very pricy.
      For me personally, I love to use a local print house. This may be an option if you can find one in your area.
