It isn’t so much that Alabama has three losses as it is how they lost. Getting physically beat in all three phases of the game is a measure of any team, and that is how Alabama lost to both OU and Vandy.
This is SEC trouble. Georgia loses to GT and to Texas in the SEC Championship gives Georgia 4 losses - Clemson beats Gamecocks which is their 4th - Tenn loses to Vandy to be their 3rd - Bama loses to Auburn for their 4th - Ole Miss loses to Miss St for their 4th. None of that would be that crazy.
It sucks but now that Alabama is at #13 they will sneak into the playoffs. Because they will beat Auburn and then some of the teams that Bama needs to lose this weekend will lose.

The SEC is not "in trouble". For god's sake people... stop manufacturing a crisis where there isn't one. They will at least have 3 of the 12 team field. That's 25% of the entire playoff field! As for Indiana, if you were to look at the schedule on paper, at the beginning of the year, it looked really tough. They played the two teams in last year's national championship game, plus Ohio St. There are so many sports shows and podcasts now, it's really affecting the nature of the coverage. The problem is that all teams should have an equal or close to an equal schedule so we do t have these ?s in the air. All conferences should have to play top notch SEC teams. The season scheduling needs to be consistent / better across the board if all of these teams are aiming for the same national championship.

He can make the argument that its in the best financial interest of the P2 conferences to play difficult opponents because the TV revenue it will generate. He will then argue that the CFP's committee does not significantly take into account strength of schedule and believes in a false notion of parity between the P2 conferences and the other conferences. Then, he will give an ultimatum to the CFP to either "reform" itself in 2026 or the B1G-SEC will have to "reconsider" its options for 2026 and beyond. Remember nothing is settled in terms of the CFP after next season.
